The universality of free fall conspiracy |
This is probably the first time I start a new topic (or maybe the
second). I do this because the information in the link below is
fascinating. It exposes in a way one of the biggest conspiracies in
science, started by Galileo and perpetuated by Newton, while Einstein
fell victim of it when he could have exposed it himself. This comes
from Palo Alto, so pay attention and start thinking, you deserve that:

On the surface it looks interesting, Mike, but I fear the author has
made an oversight of his own.
Consider the following three bodies, initially at rest.
----A----------B---------C----
Quote:
"The situation is even simpler for the separate release of the 2
bodies. Since the heavier body causes e.g. the Earth to accelerate
toward it more quickly, heavier bodies will always fall faster than
lighter bodies in the reference frame of either the Earth or the other
body. "
Unquote.
After release, A and B are moving toward each other, so we have
----A----B----C---------------- in the frame of A fixed to the page.
----------A----B----C---------- in the frame of B fixed to the page.
----------------A----B----C---- in the frame of C fixed to the page.
C is attracted by *BOTH* A and B.

What is your point? Other than you know nothing? There is no
equivalence principle conspiracy, it is just that the point of the
page is trivially obvious to anyone with a moderate amount of 'clue'
regarding gravitation. Hell, it is trivially obvious to anyone who has
went through any course that even touches upon electrostatics.

Gravity is a push to less energy.
As the universe expands , matter don't .
So a low forms around mass.
Matter is buoyant in energy.
All the parts of atoms are energ in motion in amounts named as its
parts in iensiens wavcal universe and the sum of all thier qualiies.
ALL the energy that ever was is still inside the universe pushing it
out.
EP has a new name DARK ENERGY.
Bent space is an energy gradiant .
Photons change directions and orbit in te pit to remain at C and are
ejected by changing directions to remain at C.
Photons are a rize and fall in the conductor .
More energy cant go faster than the rate energy will react with energy
so it changes directions and is a cohearant wavical.
Time dont change ,,energy reacts wth energ at C. Clocks change , the
same energy afecting more mass . But time don't.

The author of that site does not undestand the equivalence principle.
He/She thinks it applies everywhere, while in fact it applies only
locally. All the "counterexamples" given are attempting to apply it in
regions larger than it is really valid.

Why Tom, thanks for your contribution, it is always welcome. A few
questions and comments:
1. Do you distinguish between the "law of Free Fall" and EP in the GR
sense?
i.e. the author seems to discuss the law of free fall as adopted in
classical mechanics, not the EP postulate.
2. Can you quantify "locally" in terms of the fundamental dimesion of
[L]? When locallity breaks down? Furthermore, can you justify why a
set of consecutive local points where the EP holds at each and every
one, result in EP not holding in the whole set? Is that an antinomy,
i.e. each of the local points have a property that the set which
contains them does not have.
3. In GR, in which your are undoubtly an expert, is the classical law
of free fall true, i.e. that the rate of fall is independent of mass
and composition?
4. In your opinion, was Galileo correct to state a Law of Free Fall
given the limited reach of his experiments?
Thanks in advance
Mike
