The Universe has always existed Mitchell Jones? |
Mitchell Jones said:
What matters here is that nothing implicit in the big bang theory

Mitch Raemsch said:
Oh?
I'll show you where you're wrong.
We can trace space back to the begining of time
- space as a single point.
We see that the universe is expanding at an accelerating rate.
That's evidence there is no oscillation ahead and therefor none before
- No crunch ahead so no crunch behind.
The universe has a begining.
And God is the beginer.

Bye. Bye.

No, everybody here has already won every "challenge" you've ever thrown out
here, mainly by the lack of any evidence or math to support anything you
have ever said.. you have to have an education in order to face anyone here
on equal footing.

Obviously this is not true, or we wouldn't have to ask if time and
space has a begining. We can see *almost* back to what appears to be
the begining, but no further... we can't take that last step into the
singularity. If we could, we'd have the answers.
We see that the universe is expanding at an accelerating rate.
That's evidence there is no oscillation ahead and therefor none before
- No crunch ahead so no crunch behind.
That's a hasty conclusion. Until we know what is causing the
acceleration, I don't think we can draw any conclusions about the
ultimate fate of the universe.
The universe has a begining.
And God is the beginer.
Anybody else want to challenge me?
Why would they? Your arguments are all faith based, and faith is
unchallengable since it subsists on individual desire, and not on
logic, observation or reason.
Bye. Bye.
Would it were so.

What stops you from imagining the singularity dave?
Why can't we go back to the begining all the way?
When we look back space-time shrinks to a single point.
It's known as the Singularity Theorem.
Can you show otherwise?
I don't think so.

The planck time limit.

The planck time limit.

No, not quite. It shrinks to the planck time limit but no further.. yet.
It's known as the Singularity Theorem.
More likely it is known as "Nickies fevered dreams theorem."
Can you show otherwise?
Neither can you.
I don't think so.

Demonstrate it? You want me to use my godlike powers to destroy the
universe and start it again from how I did it initially? I would but then

LOL... you know, now that I think about it, nickie is an excellent case in
point of the fact that there are actually, in this day and age, people who
honestly believe that the earth is flat.
Whether nickie is honestly ignorant is the big mystery.
