Yep.
And with DRM coming you will have to pay every time you watch, a communist
idea to disallow private property (of music), by the Pol Pot of computing,
a Bill Gates.
I will have to hang on to this DRM free box, it may be valuable in the
future.
Once they F*ck up the hardware, use the old PC from the attic, do not throw
it out.
If you know your stuff.

Ok, my view on transcoding ....
I hope you kept your old 1X DVD drive. It is the only one without the DRM
chip inside it. All others will not output a clean video signal of an
encoded movie DVD. The old DVD ROM will let you copy anything...

Someone from the linux world either has or will reverse engineer the
process and figure out how to outsmart it. We have some really heavy
gauge tinkerers in every phase of comp related development.
