Thoughts on the new Feynman's Tips on Physics? |
Does anyone have any thoughts to share on the new "Feynman's Tips on
Physics: A Problem Solving Supplement to the Feymnan Lectures on Physics"?
(Its by Richard P. Feynman, Michael A. Gottlieb, Ralph Leighton, Addison
Wesley)

I think that is a very good book. I am a big fan of the Feynman
lectures on Physics and this book is the perfect compliment. The
problems are good but there should have been more. It would also be
nice to have worked out solutions and explanations to the problems. If
anyone knows where I can find solutions I would appreciate them
dropping me a line.

What? Feynman is back from the grave? Does he have any additional
insights on physics from, er, the Other Side?

John Edward has made contact with him. Feynman says
he is fine, and thinks about his children often, and
is having fun working out the physics on the Other
Side, which is quite different from ours.

Interesting that he can work physics problems as a rotted mass of
desiccated flesh.

Why not? Ronald Reagan managed to do all sorts of stuff, including
being the President, years after he died. Ditto Bush.

LOL. You're right. One does affect the future even after you're dead.

Not at all, he has cast aside this temporary vessel, and
now exists in his pure eternal and ephemeral form, where
all truth is transparent.

I'll go with software needs a substrate to run on. If the hardware is
in a dysfunctional state, no processing occurs. Of course, we do leave
memes in the System, and something might be done with them by someone,
but they'd be a pretty sorry substitute for a working brain. Of
course, IMHO, nothing is absolute.
