GR gtr Tivity CANNOT distinguish WORLD-line-POiNT-LENGTH.!!
The ROD and the TWO ROCKETs is ONE MASS ..if jOiNED, duh.!!
ALL GR gtr Tivity TEST mass is POiNT-mass, on A timeline.!!
You FAiL to GRASP or CONFUSE the simpler GR fundamentals.!!
This is _YOUR_ ERROR, Tom.!!

If, instead, one merely used two rockets with no rod,
one would program the two rockets identically; when they
cease thrusting (simultaneously in the initial frame) --

p.s. Too much going on ..ALL in ONE frame, there, dimwit.!!
The ROD and the TWO ROCKETs is ONE MASS ..if jOiNED, duh.!!

This is YOUR ERROR, here, Dumb-tit.!!
You CONFUSE ..and FAiL to GRASP, the SiMPLER gtr fundamentals.!!

Yeah, I should've realized that the mere acceleration of the ruler
causes a mystical force to suddenly stretch and break that ruler!

Yes, it stretches, but not due to any "mystical force" -- it stretches
due to whatever means of acceleration was applied to the rod (rockets in
my example above). This is a _REAL_ acceleration, --

insert ..see top of PAGE.!!

--and given the physical description, the proper acceleration
at the front of the rod must be larger than the proper
acceleration at the rear of the rod, and that is
what causes it to stretch. <shrug>

Dimwit.!!

You have a real problem in making unwarranted generalizations. Just
because one example in one textbook makes a certain assumption does not
mean that the assumption is essential or is used in all situations. You
make such over-generalizations a lot. <shrug>

That is precicely YOUR problem, HERE, Dimwit.!!

"Brian, I would like to enter an I-Thou relationship with you"
"Tom, do you think it's possible after all our harsh words???"
"We could try, Brian. The future of the world depends on Humanity's
cooperation with each other, as outlined in Hofstadter's Metamagical
Themas, the last 4 or 5 chapters."
"Ok, Tom. It's a deal. Thou art turgid tosh!"
