You have a tough request. If you were looking for single crystal
silicon, there wouldn't be a problem! But tungsten? Very high melting
point, not much demand. If you find them, the price will be
astonishingly high. And will grow exponentially with the size that you
need.
You might try the Thomas Register, which is a listing of North American
manufacturers.
www.thomasregister.com
And I've just searched Google Scholar for "single crystal tungsten" and
got 545 hits. You might track down the authors of some of those
articles and ask where they got theirs. If you're affiliated with a
reputable institution, you might even talk somebody into loaning one for
free.
Is it possible that a pressed tungsten crystal would do? A pressed
crystal is prepared by creating a polycrystalline lump and pressing it
while hot, squishing it out and resulting in a mosaic of crystallites
that are more or less aligned in the same direction. It could also be
called a mosaic crystal, making an analogy with the rows of glass peices
in a stained glass window.
Good luck to you.
