Vacuum and the Identity of God |
Professors John Wheeler and Quentin Smith,
The following is an account of a true vision of the fabled God of heaven and
earth, given to a man of our time, the Apostle Art Bulla.
Calling and First Vision of Prophet:
FIRST VISION
While journeying on foot about 10:00 P.M.Dec 29, 1969, in the east, being
inducted into the armed forces the next day, being on the way to the bus
station to travel to the armed forces induction station in Raleigh, N.C, I
received the following vision, while on the road on foot:
December 29, 1969, while enwrapted in a heavenly vision, It seemed that I,
Art Bulla, was removed out of my body, or whether in the body or out of it I
could not tell, and I beheld his face, and He spake unto me face to face as
one man speaks unto another for forty-five minutes or an hour, and whether
in the body or out of it, I could not tell, for I beheld his glory, which
surpasses all understanding, and spake while in the vision, in a much better
tongue than any spoken by man at this time, which I supposed to be the
Adamic Tongue, my understanding being quickened by such might and
intelligence and power that it is beyond the mind of man unaided by the
Spirit of Revelation which dwells yet within me, to comprehend, and indeed
no words can convey, for it seemed that I was transfigured before Him of
whom I speak, my God in whom I bear record as others have before me, that He
lives, for I too have seen Him. And tongue cannot express his matchless
might, glory, power and intelligence, and I shall forever adore his glory,
for having once beheld his face and tasted of his love and might and power
and beheld things which I cannot convey, for there is no language, I must, I
MUST obtain his presence, and I shall not be content with anything else,
this world or its allurments. And having been ordained unto the Holy Order
of God which is after the Order of Melchizedec, even the Holy Apostleship,
the keys of which I hold, I bear record of my Father, for I have seen Him
and conversed with him, and I testify that He shall return in this the
Latter Day as soon as my people are straightened from this crooked and
perverse generation which shall be destroyed by the might of his power, and
that they be gathered out according to the Revelations which are being given
unto me, almost daily at this time, which is one of the darkest periods and
most wicked because of unbelief in the history of the earth, that Zion may
descend and that the heavens and the earth mingle and become One, as prayed
by the Only Begotten, even my brother Jesus of Nazereth. Yea, my Father, I
pray that thy will be done and thy Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
Even so. Amen.

I testify that this vision of the Lord God of Israel received by Art Bulla
is true, as confirmed to me by a manifestation of the Holy Ghost one weekend
afternoon in spring of 2002
while mp3 recording a talk. Amen.
These things are after the pattern of the Ancients, such as the Apostle
Paul, or Saul of Tarsus as he was known at the time he received his vision
of the Almighty.
2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I
cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such
an one caught up to the third heaven.
3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot
tell: God knoweth;)
4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words,
which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
5 Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine
infirmities.

every one of them with his finger save it were the three who were to tarry,

unto them power that they could utter the things which they saw and heard;
15 And whether they were in the body or out of the body, they could not
tell; for it did seem unto them like a transfiguration of them, that they
were changed from this body of flesh into an immortal state, that they could
behold the things of God.

You may be interested to know that the Apostle Brigham Young preceded his
first ever public speech on the identity of God the Father with a comment on
vacuum, or empty space.
Journal of Discourses, Vol.1, Pg.49 - Pg.51, Brigham Young, April 9, 1852:
As I was meditating on the philosophy of the day, it occurred to my mind how
visible it must appear to all eyes that the Lord does indeed work, that it
is He who blesses this people; and yet it seems as though they cannot see
His hand. The Lord fills the immensity of space. What saith the Psalmist?
"Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy
presence? If I ascent up into heaven, thou art there; if I make my bed in
hell, behold thou art there; if I take the wings of the morning, and dwell
in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there shall thy hand lead me." I
was trying to think of the place where God is not, but it is impossible,
unless you can find empty space; and there I believe He is not. If you can
find such a place, it will become useful for a hiding place to those who
wish to hide themselves from the presence of the Lord, in the great day of
accounts. I will close this sermon, as I intend to preach another before I
present the subject I more particularly wish to speak upon.
My next sermon will be to both Saint and sinner. One thing has remained a
mystery in this kingdom up to this day. It is in regard to the character of
the well-beloved Son of God, upon which subject the Elders of Israel have
conflicting views. Our God and Father in heaven, is a being of tabernacle,
or, in other words, He has a body, with parts the same as you and I have;
and is capable of showing forth His works to organized beings, as, for
instance, in the world in which we live, it is the result of the knowledge
and infinite wisdom that dwell in His organized body. His son Jesus Christ
has become a personage of tabernacle, and has a body like his father. The
Holy Ghost is the Spirit of the Lord, and issues forth from Himself, and may
properly be called God's minister to execute His will in immensity; being
called to govern by His influence and power; but He is not a person of
tabernacle as we are, and as our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ are. The
question has been, and is often, asked, who it was that begat the Son of the
Virgin Mary. The infidel world have concluded that if what the Apostles
wrote about his father and mother be true, and the present marriage
discipline acknowledged by Christendom be correct, then Christians must
believe that God is the father of an illegitimate son, in the person of
Jesus Christ! The infidel fraternity teach that to their disciples. I will
tell you how it is. Our Father in Heaven begat all the spirits that ever
were, or ever will be, upon this earth; and they were born spirits in the
eternal world. Then the Lord by His power and wisdom organized the mortal
tabernacle of man. We were made first spiritual, and afterwards temporal.
Now hear it, O inhabitants of the earth, Jew and Gentile, Saint and sinner!
When our father Adam came into the garden of Eden, he came into it with a
celestial body, and brought Eve, one of his wives, with him. He helped to
make and organize this world. He is MICHAEL, the Archangel, the ANCIENT OF
DAYS! about whom holy men have written and spoken--HE is our FATHER and our
GOD, and the only God with whom WE have to do. Every man upon the earth,
professing Christians or non-professing, must hear it, and will know it
sooner or later. They came here, organized the raw material, and arranged
in their order the herbs of the field, the trees, the apple, the peach, the
plum, the pear, and every other fruit that is desirable and good for man;
the seed was brought from another sphere, and planted in this earth. The
thistle, and thorn, the brier, and the obnoxious weed did not appear until
after the earth was cursed. When Adam and Eve had eaten of the forbidden
fruit, their bodies became mortal from its effects, and therefore their
offspring were mortal. When the Virgin Mary conceived the child Jesus, the
Father had begotten him in his own likeness. He was not begotten by the
Holy Ghost. And who is the Father? He is the first of the human family;
and when he took a tabernacle, it was begotten by his Father in heaven,
after the same manner as the tabernacles of Cain, Abel, and the rest of the
sons and daughters of Adam and Eve; from the fruits of the earth, the first
earthly tabernacles were originated by the Father, and so on in succession.
I could tell you much more about this; but were I to tell you the whole
truth, blasphemy would be nothing to it, in the estimation of the
superstitious and over-righteous of mankind. However, I have told you the
truth as far as I have gone. I have heard men preach upon the divinity of
Christ, and exhaust all the wisdom they possessed. All Scripturalists, and
approved theologians who were considered exemplary for piety and education,
have undertaken to expound on this subject, in every age of the Christian
era; and after they have done all, they are obliged to conclude by
exclaiming "great is the mystery of godliness," and tell nothing.
It is true that the earth was organized by three distinct characters,
namely, Eloheim, Yahovah, and Michael, these three forming a quorum, as in
all heavenly bodies, and in organizing element, perfectly represented in the
Deity, as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Again, they will try to tell how the divinity of Jesus is joined to his
humanity, and exhaust all their mental faculties, and wind up with this
profound language, as describing the soul of man, "it is an immaterial
substance!" What a learned idea! Jesus, our elder brother, was begotten in
the flesh by the same character that was in the garden of Eden, and who is
our Father in Heaven. Now, let all who may hear these doctrines, pause
before they make light of them, or treat them with indifference, for they
will prove their salvation or damnation.
I have given you a few leading items upon this subject, but a great deal
more remains to be told. Now remember from this time forth, and forever,
that Jesus Christ was not begotten by the Holy Ghost. I will repeat a
little anecdote. I was in conversation with a certain learned professor
upon this subject, when I replied, to this idea--"if the Son was begotten by
the Holy Ghost, it would be very dangerous to baptize and confirm females,
and give the Holy Ghost to them, lest he should beget children, to be palmed
upon the Elders by the people, bringing the Elders into great difficulties."
Treasure up these things in your hearts. In the Bible, you have read the
things I have told you to-night; but you have not known what you did read.
I have told you no more than you are conversant with; but what do the people
in Christendom, with the Bible in their hands, know about this subject?
Comparatively nothing.
Fyodor Dostoevsky (The Brothers Karamazov):
God took seeds from different worlds and sowed them on this earth, and His
garden grew up and everything came up that could come up, but what grows
lives and is alive only through the feeling of its contact with other
mysterious worlds. If that feeling grows weak or is destroyed in you, the
heavenly growth will die away in you. Then you will be indifferent to life
and even grow to hate it. That's what I think.
118 And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another
words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek
learning, even by study and also by faith.

Professor Maurice Allais in France, as you probably already know, has
studied the methods and data obtained by the late Professor Dayton Miller
and performed his own analysis of this data and has statistically validated
them, as well as Miller's methods, as much as a human being can, that aether
or ether as anisotropic entity does exist, as concluded by Miller. Allais
has also written concerning his own 1950's observations of unusual Foucault
pendulum behavior during solar eclipses, that they are a manifestation of
the anisotropy of aether also. If you don't believe the testimonies borne by
Joseph Smith and Brigham Young and Art Bulla and Fyodor Dostoevsky, what
about the works of the scientists James Clerk Maxwell and Nikola Tesla and
Maurice Allais?

brought men and women into existence on this planet only through the process

Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Section Six 1843-44 Pgs.364-365:
I shall read the 24th chapter of Matthew, and give it a literal rendering
and reading; and when it is rightly understood, it will be edifying.
I thought the very oddity of its rendering would be edifying anyhow -- "And
it will be preached, the Gospel of the kingdom, in the whole world, to a
witness over all people: and then will the end come." I will now read it in
German [which he did, and many Germans who were present said he translated
it correctly].
Interpretation of Scripture
The Savior said when these tribulations should take place, it should be
committed to a man who should be a witness over the whole world: the keys of
knowledge, power and revelations should be revealed to a witness who should
hold the testimony to the world. ... The old German, Latin, Greek and Hebrew
translations all say it is true: they cannot be impeached, and therefore I
am in good company.
All the testimony is that the Lord in the last days would commit the keys of
the Priesthood to a witness over all people.
Has the Gospel of the kingdom commenced in the last days? And will God take
it from the man until He takes him Himself? I have read it precisely as the
words flowed from the lips of Jesus Christ. John the Revelator saw an angel
flying through the midst of heaven, having the everlasting Gospel to preach
unto them that dwell on the earth.
The scripture is ready to be fulfilled when great wars, famines, pestilence,
great distress, judgments, &c., are ready to be poured out on the
inhabitants of the earth. John saw the angel having the holy Priesthood,
who should preach the everlasting Gospel to all nations. God had an
angel -- a special messenger -- ordained and prepared for that purpose in
the last days. Woe, woe be to that man or set of men who lift up their
hands against God and His witness in these last days: for they shall deceive
almost the very chosen ones!
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I
will make an everlasting covenant with you, [even] the sure mercies of

Going back to "God particle" and the consequences thereof ...
Maurice Allais (About the Aether Concept, July 24, 2003):
I. No action at a distance
1. No action at a distance is conceivable without the existence of an
intermediary medium.
All known actions, gravitational, optical, electromagnetic, propagate
through a medium, the aether.
2. The attraction according to Newton's law of the inverse square of the
distance or Ampere's formulas are not actions at a distance. They result
from local actions which propagate progressively across space through the
aether. ...
IV. Aether movements and deformations
6. Contrary to what was assumed in XIXth century and early XXth century, the
aether is subject to movements and local deformations, in other words, the
aether is an anisotropic medium. This anisotropy varies over time and space.
The properties of the "vacuum" are nothing else than aether properties.
7. The movements and deformations of the aether influence the different
phenomena observed and all these phenomena are influenced in the same way.
8. Atoms, particles, photons are but (local) singularities of the aether
which remain to be explained by differential equations. ...
13. Nature doesn't leave any room to chance and all is determined by cause
and effect relationships.
What's called hazard is nothing but a representation of our ignorance. But
the permanent nature of the statistical laws shows the existence of a hidden
order.

A Nobel Laureate in Economics (1988), Maurice Allais is an engineer turned
economist, as well as a highly accomplished physicist and historian. He
discovered an unusual
Foucault pendulum behavior (which to me sounds like the Earth briefly
rotates about its axis faster during solar eclipses?) manifested during
solar eclipses.

and absorbing may be wrought out by skilful combinations of acknowledged
data and the simplest means.

Allais considers this peculiar gravitational effect (named eponymously) to
be one manifestation of the aether, for reasons stated in his 2003 summary
quoted above and below in his Nobel autobio:
Maurice Allais (From Les Prix Nobel. The Nobel Prizes 1988, Editor Tore
Frangsmyr, [Nobel Foundation], Stockholm, 1989):
My work in theoretical and experimental physics
My involvement in physics dates from my reflections on physics, mechanics,
and astronomy courses at the Ecole Polytechnique. Had the National Centre
for Scientific Research existed in 1938, I would have devoted myself to the
study of physics and would not have become an economist.
But there again, over the past fifty years, while pursuing my activities as
an economist, I have never stopped reflecting and working at various times
on the problems involved in the elaboration of a unified theory of
gravitation, electromagnetism, and quanta.
On the experimental level, and as a by-product of this theoretical research,
I conducted, from 1952 to 1960, experiments on the anomalies of the
paraconical pendulum (a short pendulum, about one meter long, suspended by a
steel ball), anomalies the existence of which I proved. For these
experiments I received the 1959 Galabert Prize of the French Astronautical
Society, and I was laureate in 1959 of the United States Gravity Research
Foundation.
My main idea at the start was that a link could be established between
magnetism and gravitation by observing the movements of a pendulum
consisting of a glass ball oscillating in a magnetic field. Of all the
observations made in 1952 and 1953 I was not able to draw any definitive
conclusion. Through certain experimental devices, I obtained positive
effects, but with other devices I obtained no effect whatsoever. A much
stronger magnetic field would have been necessary, but it was unrealizable
in my laboratory with the available means.
But in the absence of any magnetic field other than that of the earth, I
observed, in the course of continuous observations, pursued over periods of
about one month from 1954 to 1960, very remarkable anomalies in the movement
of the paraconical pendulum, to wit essentially the existence of a
significant periodicity of the order of 24 hrs 50 min. Identical results
were found in June-July 1958 in two laboratories, some 6 km away from each
other, one in a basement, the other in an underground quarry.
At the same time, I observed in the second half of July 1958 a
correspondence between the anomalies in the movement of the paraconical
pendulum and the anomalies observed in the optical sightings on a fixed
sighting mark through a fixed telescope.
Finally during the total eclipses of the sun on June 30, 1954, and October
22, 1959, quite analogous deviations of the plane of oscillation of the
paraconical pendulum were observed.
In fact, all these phenomena are quite inexplicable within the framework of
the currently accepted theories.
With regard to all these results as well as to their analysis I can make a
prediction: if, without interruption, for at least one month, in the same
place and at the same time, observations of the movement of the paraconical
pendulum are made, together with optical sightings such as those I made, as
well as a repetition of the Michelson-Morley (1887) and Miller (1925)
experiments, the purpose of which was to display the movement of the earth
relatively to the "ether", it will be found that the effects observed by
Miller in 1925 correspond to the anomalies in the movement of the
paraconical pendulum and the anomalies of the optical sightings which I
observed.
All my researches in theoretical and applied physics which, at first sight,
appear to be remote from my main activity as an economist, have, in reality,
enriched me with valuable experience.
These researches, which constantly presented all kinds of very great
difficulties, have led me to reflect on the nature of our knowledge, the
nature of experience and theory, the difficulties of experimentation and the
interpretation of results, and the scientific method in general.
I have been particularly struck by the identity of problems relating to the
construction of models and the meaning of empirical data in economics and
physics. Nothing has been more instructive for me than this confrontation
between two apparently so dissimilar sciences.

Smoot and Mather, who led the hitech COBE satellite-based research, are
going to be awarded this year's Nobel in physics, and what a fine work they
and their collaborators did, though the stated reasons for their Nobel are
misleading.

The measurements also revealed tiny ripples in the light's intensity,
representing "lumps" no more than 0.001 percent richer in matter than the
space around them.

This result takes us back to Poynting vector, the magnitude of which
represents instantaneous light intensity, and because the magnitude of
Poynting vector divided by c represents instantaneous light pressure, the
COBE-observed ripples in intensity of the cosmic microwave background
radiation
signify ripples in cosmic microwave background pressure also. Hence the
statement quoted from the above yahoo.com news article. Therefore, this
article does get at
what amounts to anisotropy of what the article's author would
consider to be dark matter. More correctly, it is anisotropy of the aether
(the native elements) that pervades the Infinity of space, as correctly
deduced by Maurice Allais of France from his own gravitational and optical
observations conducted in the 1950's and from his in-depth analyis of the
interferometer methods and data of Michelson-Morley and of Dayton Miller.

Contrary to what was assumed in XIXth century and early XXth century, the

Dayton Miller called it Earth "entrained ether", as opposed to static (but
still vibrating) or isotropic ether. The Holy Ghost did testify to me less
than a month ago that it is so in the case of Earth movement through ether,
and I have presented the findings of Miller and Allais to satisfy cravings
for Gentile evidence. The concept of static ether, we now understand, is
equivalent to the concept of bona fide vacuum, or empty
space, which is but absurd, delusional fantasy (in order to compensate for
this
erroneous postulate, another one was cooked up -- dark matter/quantum
foam, with the Higgs boson postulate arguably approaching closest to the
absolute truth of native element-ether-cosmic background radiation frame,
out of all the proposals made by the world's natural philosophers, even them
known as cosmologists and astrophysicists and particle physicists).

Do they really believe this nonsense? Or did something get lost in
translation into a general news article? I thought some of them at least
call it quantum foam and/or Higgs boson? As I recall, according to the big
bang theory matter was supposed to be at an extremely high density and
temperature before expanding into the Universe in its present form, so I
suppose the above article made an error in describing the theory.
Regardless, supporters of big bang blissfully ignore the second law of
thermodynamics. It is willful insanity for filthy lucre's sake.

Hadrons are a class of subatomic particles that includes protons and
neutrons. When they collide, they explode into dozens of other particles,
even more infinitesimal and fleeting. Atlas, five stories high and one of

The cost: $3 billion and change. The goal: to find one lousy subatomic
particle.
Specifically, the Higgs boson, the most elusive speck of matter in the
universe. Often called the God particle, it's supposed to be the key to
explaining why matter has mass. Physicists believe that Higgs particles
generate a kind of soupy ether through which other particles move, picking
up drag that translates into mass on the macroscopic scale. The Higgs is the
cornerstone of 21st-century physics; it simply has to be there, otherwise
the standard model of the universe collapses.
For all the high-level physics, smashing protons together is actually the
easy part. The hard part is crunching data. To find the Higgs, which might
flash across Atlas' layered detectors for a microsecond, researchers will
have to process a staggering amount of information. Atlas and its three
sister detectors will spew a thousand times more raw data in a year than in
all the world's phone calls. Every eight-hour run of the LHC will produce
around 10 terabytes.

ABSTRACT
One of the major questions in modern astrophysics is the dark matter
problem. Even though there is little to no doubt that dark matter exists, it
is still not yet known what dark matter is made of. Cosmology provides
evidence that the dark matter contains a non-baryonic component. One
possible candidate is the existence of weakly interacting massive particles
(WIMPs). This work describes how WIMPs can be detected and what signal type
and range can be expected of them. With the expectable low count rate of
WIMPs it becomes obvious that the main constraint for recording a
dark-matter event is the background of the WIMP signature. One possible
detector for such a WIMP experiment can be a lithium drifted silicon
detector in which a WIMP interaction generates a nuclear recoil of a silicon
atom which produces a detector signal. Los Alamos National Laboratory can
potentially get more than 650 lithium drifted silicon detectors with a mass
of 100 grams each. Three prototypes of these detectors have been tested to
determine the quality of the material and to check their intrinsic
background. The results of these tests are documented here. ...
THE DARK MATTER PROBLEM
1.1 INTRODUCTION
The urge to explain where the human race comes from and how its surrounding
environment was created has its root in the early history of mankind. What
began with myths and religious beliefs soon turned into theories that could
be observed (see for example [COP43], [KEP09], [KEP19] and [GAL32]). Since
ancient times mankind has been interested in ideas and theories of how the
world, in which we live works. Particular interest was paid to the universe
and the stars. Theories about how and why the universe has formed were
developed very early in human history.
When the first experiments were conducted to test these theories scientists
used the electro-magnetic emissions from the universe in the visible light
spectrum. Later the spectrum widened and today most of our knowledge about
the universe is based on the observation of electro-magnetic radiation.
Today luminous stars are observed as are the x-ray emissions from hot gas or
the cosmic microwave background.
Up until 1933, the scientic world was convinced that all matter in the
universe was observable through photons. The first evidence for dark matter
was brought forward by F. Zwicky in 1933 [ZWI33]. He had observed the red
shift of galaxies in the Coma cluster, a nearby cluster of galaxies. His
calculations were based on the virial theorem, which states that, for a
stable, self-gravitating, spherical distribution of equal mass objects
(stars, galaxies, etc), the total kinetic energy of the objects is equal to
1/2 times the total gravitational potential energy

.... His calculations had shown that the speed of the galaxies should not
have been faster than 80 km/s. His observation of the velocity distribution
by red shift analysis however had shown that the speeds reached up to 1000
km/s, more than one order of magnitude larger than expected. He concluded
the strong possibility of the existence of some sort of "dark matter". A
matter type not absorbing or emitting electro-magnetic radiation which was
responsible for the speed increase.
Since then cosmology and astrophysics have derived more evidence for the
existence of dark matter. The idea that was very controversial for many
years, later found great acceptance. Today there is a strong consensus in
the scientic world, that non-electro-magnetically observable matter exists
and makes up the major part of the matter in the universe. Many hypotheses
have been postulated about the nature of dark matter. The ideas vary from
baryonic dark matter such as large Jupiter size objects that are distributed
throughout the galaxy or clouds of gas to non baryonic dark matter such as
halos of fundamental particles.
1.2 THE BIG BANG MODEL
Common understanding in the cosmological society today states that the
universe has its origin in the big bang, a state of infinite density. ...

It's interesting the timing of this "dark matter" concept, 1933, the same
year as the publishing in Reviews of Modern Physics, the now-forgotten
Dayton Miller paper that experimentally established the reality of
anisotropic, Earth-entrained ether. But the vast majority of the world's
natural philosophers ended up going along with the incorrect concept, which
was partly grounded in reality, but much further away from the whole truth
than Miller. So I thank God for Maurice Allais to provide additional Gentile
credibility to His eternal truth. And let me quote from Esch's Dissertation
again, because it reiterates the anisotropic thesis of Miller and Allais:
"Data from the anisotropy of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) can be
used to determine the total density Omega0, the ratio of mass to baryon
OmegaM/OmegaB [HUW97] Several experiments have been made to measure the

Going back to before Section 1.2 and also to the end of Section 1.2, Esch
wrote:

Dark matter, or more correctly the anisotropic aether, is a medium of em
radiation (light), which is either emitted or reflected by coarse matter
(baryonic matter in the modern cosmologist's lingo) and also by spirits
which are not of coarse organization but are still in states of a very high
degree of organization. "Anisotropic aether" or "dark matter" or "quantum
foam" (as coined by John Wheeler in 1955), on the other hand, cannot be
described as truly being in a state of organization. Joseph Smith called it
"chaotic matter", which is also more descriptive than "dark matter" or
"quantum
foam".

works, remote supercomputing may become as common as electricity, as
ubiquitous as the Web. ... The result: a super-reliable, superpowerful
network that supplies on-demand computing capacity anytime, anywhere. ...
corporations might be willing to pay for it. Already IBM, Hewlett-Packard,
and Sun have large and well-funded grid computing programs under way. ...
Much of the early hype around grids has spoken of "the Grid" as if there
will be one pervasive ultra-network, the way there's one Web. After all,
it's being birthed at CERN, where Tim Berners-Lee invented the Web itself
more than a decade ago. ... People have a way of repurposing powerful
technologies in surprising ways.
