Object: Wattage produced by x gm. radium
How many watts would I get from 12 gm. of radium? Is there an equation
for this? I'm designing a simple nuclear power supply for a uni
science project. Some help here? Thanks!!!!

1 gramm radium produces 100 cal / h continuously.
Decrease only 1% in 25 years.
For comparison:
1 gramm coal produce 8000 cal, but only once :-)

And what is that 1200cal/hr in watts? How much would I need for 20kw?

1 cal/sec is about 4 watts
so 1200cal/hr is about 1.3W
You would need about 15Kg I believe.
Efficiency?

Wow! So why aren't we heating with radium? Just kidding, just kidding.
