What are the advantages of SuperConducter? |
Superconducter was a hot topic in 1990s Every month a new record of
hight temperature SuperConducter was made.
What is the highest temprature at which Superconductor works?
Can it be used to create SuperComputer 100s times faster . How can a
superConducter help create faster Super Computer.
Can SuperConducter be used for transmitting power to long distance.
Will that be economical enough to implement?
What are the other uses of SuperConducter can they be used in Maglev
Trains? & Rocket Science?

For very strong magnets in general
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superconducting_magnet
There are lots of these in accelerators. Unfortunately your
standard superconducting magnet has to be cooled with liquid
helium, to 4 K. That's not very economical. If superconducting
magnets could operate just a little warmer, say at liquid nitrogen
temperatures (77 K), we'd probably see a lot more maglev trains.

No one knows because all of the possible superconductive materials
have not been identified much less tested. The highest one I know of
is 175 K.

No idea.

Yes it can.
Probably not, until materials that superconduct at higher temperatures
are found.

Superconductive sensors (SQUIDS) are already revolutionizing some
fields, enabling exquisitely sensitive measurements of electric and
magnetic fields.

It has been used for quite a while now for short distances where the
cost of a supeconducting cable is exceeded by the cost of digging
and implementing new conduits with enough space for conventional cable
in major cities.
