What is the 'principle of indeterminism'? Is it related to the uncertainty
principle? How?

When two children hold either end of a jump rope and send a wave
traveling from one end to the other by snapping, where is the wave?
It's position is spread out and not localized to a point. If a child
causes a series of waves that are evenly spaced out across the rope the
position is completely undetermined but the momentum is sharply
defined. This is where the uncertainty relationship comes into play.
The more localized the position of a wave is the more spread out its
momentum becomes. The more sharply you define the momentum of a wave,
the more spread out its position becomes.
Denote the spread in position by delta-x.and the spread in momentum by
delta-p. The uncertainty relationship can be formulated as the product
delta-x, delta-p greater than 1/2 h-bar
