Do you mean it did or did not?
"The silly premise of the film is basically "wake up and smell the
coffee" it's a quantum world: "don't worry....be happy.""
Yes, that is a wrong idea because the micro-quantum world does not
permit "signal nonlocality". Therefore, the micro-quantum world does not
permit ordinary consciousness much less paranormal effects like remote
viewing! It is amazing that The Pundits from Tucson still do not
understand this! The rules of macro-quantum theory are different from
the rules of macro-quantum theory. You can compare this to general
relativity transcending special relativity. Hawking was wrong at GR 17
because even he does not understand the proper limits of orthodox
quantum theory in ALL interpretations from Bohr to Bohm to Many Worlds.
Josephson and Valentini get it, but no one else seems to.

"Marlee Matlin is a dysfunctional unhappy
tranquilizer-popping photographer in the midst of a major life
crisis built on a disappointed relationship, poor self-esteem and body
image, obsessive self-absorption and self-suffering to the point of
shear tedium, especially for the film goer. A perky, bubbly, blue-eyed
blond free-spirited GenX artist roommate is added to create an even
greater don't-worry-be-happy contrast to the older insufferable Marlee
Matlin.

This little drama is portrayed with special effects and choppy editing
to convey a life of fragmentation and an unreality to the world, upon
which to weave in the quantum new age message. Add in a combination of
The Matrix and Ghost Busters special effects and cartoon images and then
juxtapose this with documentary interviews with talking head new age
intellectuals including an obnoxious philosopher chiropractor and the
Ramptha channeler, all spewing new age human potential quantum
mind pseudo science. Some credibility was attempted with a nerdy
University of Pennsylvania neuroscientist in front of some meditater PET
scans. There was also a Thomas Jefferson University Hospital
Psychiatrist wearing a bad tie - wow - this movie is legit. ;-)

Matlin's little crisis is countered with the Buddhist notion of it's all
imagination and the optimistic drone of "you can be what ever you want
to be... it's all molecular biology". Neural networks and brain
chemistry can change and so can you; with endless computer animations
ala The Fantastic Voyage. An animated throbbing hypothalamus had a
leading role. Matlin's zen-quantum trickster is a 12-year old inner-city
black kid with a basketball encouraging her to come through the wormhole
into the 'hood basketball holodeck for life lessons. I think the horny
kid just wanted to get into her pants every time he asked her how far
down the rabbit hole was she willing to go?

Stuart made no mention of microtubules and just spoke in general terms
with the Arizona desert as a backdrop. Fred Alan Wolf was the ever
enthused eccentric scientist wearing a very nice Jhane Barnes sweater
with colorful interference pattern-like swirls. If it came from
costuming, I hope they let Fred keep it. Nice sweater.

My companions left the movie with a dreamy sense of awe, seeing deep
meaning in every corner. I was the downer when I asked if they
understood or could they explain anything about quantum physics or
neurobiology as it relates to the transformation of the wretched Madlin
into a shiny happy new ager?

Still my Gurdjieff-following friends certainly got their $8.50 worth;
for one of them this was a second viewing. The movie could very well
become a major cult film for the cargo cult crowd because they can see
it again and again, going down that wabbit hole and each time coming out
empty-handed and like the hungry ghost wanting more.. But what the bleep
do I know?"

I have not seen it. Please elaborate what you mean?
