What's going on here - The Angel Light |
OK. This sounds simply amazing. This guy has produced a light that can make
solid objects such as your brick wall- invisible. It can also stop any
electronics by just shining on it. The light also kills biological life
forms. Seems the device has been tested by MIT, and the French want to buy
it. Check it out and reveal the scam if there is one:

From the site:
Hurtubise said he could see into the garage behind his lab wall, and
read the licence plate on his wife's car and even see the salt on it.
"I almost broke my knuckles three or four times, because it was almost
like you could step through the wall," Hurtubise said.
"You could be fooled into believing that you could actually walk
through the wall and go touch the car."
Maybe "you" could be, but not the people here.
The Hurtubise put his hand in the light beam
"I could see my blood vessels, muscles, everything, like I'd taken
an Exacto knife, cut into my skin and peeled it back," Hurtubise
said.
Yeah, I purchased the prototype when I was a kid from the back of a
superman comic. I thought those glasses would let me see what a naked
girl looks like, but they didn't work.
I guess you must have gotten the bugs out of the design!
They don't have one of your devices at G.W. Hospital yet, but they did
just buy a state-of-the art MRI. Have you not gotten around to
demonstrating it for them?
Lemme guess: there's a conspiracy by the medical establishment to
suppress it!
The French, Hurtubise adds, have also agreed to pay him a
"substantial" amount of money for the technology if it passes
rigorous tests in France.
*IF* it passes tests?
You mean being able to see through walls wasn't good enough? Did it
have to make really hot tea, too?
"My brother told me the only way I'd be able to sell any of my
innovations is by walking on water," Hurtubise said.
That's more likely to work than trying to scam real Scientists with
something like that.
I guess your brother must be more familiar with what's inside it than
the French are.
Why don't you go peddle your machine at alt.christnet? Those people

It says in the article that it kills biological lifeforms. Wouldn't him
placing his arm in this "light" cause harm or pain to him in some way?

Not necessarily. According to a friend who used to work on high-energy
microwave systems (DoD stuff), exposure to high levels of microwave
energy may be painless AND fatal, with death not being immediate.

Did you notice there's no actual demo of the device?
Why not just turn it on and show the reporter the magic
view through the wall? How newsworthy is a pile of
random parts glued together? He couldn't arrange ONE

Let me get this straight:
It can 'see' through *walls* as if they weren't there, but not *salt
crystals* (all the infrared spectrometers I have ever used can see
through salt crystals);
It can see through *skin* but not *veins*;
It *kills* solid state electronics, but cannot stimulate human nerves
enough that they will react;
It 'detects stealth technology' (so do my eyes and optical cameras);
It was built without blueprints, drawings, or schematics.
Sorry, but it doesn't quite add up to 'logical.'
BTW, I wonder if the Canadian authorities know he is now on the payroll
of one foreign power and is conducting private negotiations with
another.

Hey, if I had something that made things invisible, I know what
I'd do: I'd call the French - no wait, I'd take a PICTURE.
In the 80 links I found about this nonsense, the only picture
shows Hurtubise posed with this think like it was a gigantic
wang. Nothing to show it actually working.
I can't imagine why you'd be even tempted to believe it.
Of course, invisibility rays are a fairly recent
obsession for Mr. Hurtubise. He's already well known
as the inventor of the anti-grizzly bear suit

This light can be used to see through walls.
It can be used to see through the human body.
It has a withering affect on living things when exposed for long.
How is this different than X-Rays?

Well, the major difference is that X-rays actually exist.
Beyond that, this uses "black, white, red, AND fluorescent
light", not to mention "seven industrial lasers". That's,
like, *totally* different than X-rays, dude.
