Hey,
What do you think about this site for physics students?
http://www.cramster.com/
They have this new section Cramster Answers, that is like usenet for
study help
except more advanced. But as a whole with the other features my friend
thinks that
they will change the way that students study, like how napster changed
the way people use music. Do you agree? If not do you think it is a
useful site? Whats your opinion?

Stupidity is eternal. 10% of the population can benefit from higher
education, 70% can be trained to one degree or another, 20% will
always be fillng our slums.
"Changing the way students study." HA HA HA! We knew how to
efficiently educate kids from the meanest social and economic nadirs
in the early 1900s. New York City successfully educated a flood of
immigrant scum from Irish and Italians in the late 1800s to
miscellaneous European dregs through the 1940s. We then burned the
blueprints, exactly as NASA destroyed all prints and jigs for Saturn
boosters so the lamentable Space Scuttle would look good - albeit
compared to nothing.
The state of Michigan once required that home schoolers have a
teaching certificate. Faced with civil insurrection, Michigan removed
that politically correct nuance. Home-schooled Michiganders now kick
***** - amongst the best in the country. Do you want to fix education?
1) End the Department of Education.
2) National annual standardized tests for all major subjects
patterned on NY State's Regents exams. Yo don't get at least a 65,
you don't go on to the next grade in that subject.
3) Require every teacher to take the same annual standardized test
as the kids it teaches in that subject. Any teacher who cannot score
in the top 90th %-tile is discharged for cause.
4) No tenure for public education instructors. They aren't
engaged in some kind of risky intelletucal ballet. They are day
laborers.
5) Scholarships for scholars, nothing for idiots. All subsidized
"education" of Mongoloids, rubella, and other genetic and
developmental garbage is ended. Invest in the future you want.
Yesterday's Nobel Prize is tomorrow's homework. We have an insanely
expensive national educational philosophy (PHILOSOPHY! Now there is
one source of the problem) that cannot turn out kids who can read
their diplomas and make change of a dollar in their heads. If Blacks
and Brown cannot be educated, admit it and train them. Even cats can
be trained.

Nowadays it's the White who's harder and cost more to be trained.

What's the big deal. They seem to be charging for things
that most universities give away for free; namely old exams
and lecture notes.
They have solutions to homework problem from standard texts,
but in the example there really wasn't enough detail to
teach the students, so they could probably copy down
the answer for the homework, but it won't help them on
the exam.
If canned answers become common, all the instructors
have to do is introduce slight variations on the
book problems and it will totally derail this.

No, that's a stupid opinion. I can only guess that you or
"your friend" own stock in the company.
