Is that all you people care about is the military? Our cities and
infrastructure could be falling apart and all you ever here about is how
great the military is. Its the epitome of corporate welfare and a system
that is based on the politics of fear. Whats more important that investing
in our military is investing in our energy sources as soon as the oil crunch
comes within the coming decade. Then again, comandeering iraqi oil fields
via military action was an expensive way to provide us with a temporary fix.
But, the hard fact remains that the days of cheap oil are going to come to
an end and we will need to shift to other means of powering our country.
Some jobs creation might begin with the retrofitting of our society to
alternate energy sources. Oil will be around but its gonna be alot more
expensive. Alot. And instead of squadering precious treasure on lil'
cowboys mideast adventures we could be handing out contracts to private
companies for the purpose of gradually moving to new energy sources. But
big oil and big business will have nothing to do with it. Its a shame and
travesty and something the American public won't wake up to until there is a
crisis as we are with everything....

If you don't have a strong military to defend your country then the
infrastructure is pointless. What good is a city with beautiful
parks, perfect streets etc. if the city is evacuated because of a dirty
bomb blast which contaminates it for 10,000 years?

We're at war.
maybe you don't remember 9-11 but I do.
In wartime, the military has the highest priority.
Didn't they teach you in school that FDR was forced to shelve his entire
New Deal program after Pearl Harbor, in order to have the funds to win
the war?

What does occupying Iraq have to do with 9/11?

You've proven you wouldn't understand.

John Kerry said to Tom Brokow:
''I think there has been an exaggeration,''
he said. ''They are really
misleading all of America, Tom, in a
profound way. It's primarily an
intelligence and law enforcement
operation.''
Law enforcement??? That approach
sure worked for the Clinton
Administration, didn't it?
And you think I'm gonna vote for him???

Senator Chambliss pointed out - correctly - that Kerry's voting record
is one of opposing most new weapons systems. Senator Kerry countered
by accusing President Bush of having his "surrogates" attack his
Vietnam record.
Huh?
Chambliss didn't say one word about Vietnam: He talked about Kerry's
voting record as a SENATOR, 13 years after he left the service. Is
this a variant on the "twinkie defense", answer every complaint, every
criticism, with "DON'T YOU TALK ABOUT MY VIETNAM SERVICE!!!"? If
Kerry runs his bike over a pedestrian does having served in Vietnam
constitute a "Get Out of Jail Free" card? Kerry's letter is
nonsensical: he tries to deflect legitimate criticism by claiming his
"patriotism" is being questioned. In short, Kerry is hiding behind
his medals.
--
After Kerry returned from Vietnam he became an antiwar
activist. But was he really? In 1972 he threw his
medals away to protest the war. Years later it turned
out that he had thrown someone ELSE'S medals away and
kept his.
Ask yourself this: Would Patricia Ireland burn someone
else's bra? Then doesn't this make Kerry a fraud?

Kerry "throws the gauntlet" by saying "Bring it on", than goes wuss
over "attack" on his voting record. We should really have his reaction
if Quale claims that "He betrayed our country", and have Gillespie
claiming that he was AWOL after being transferred back from Vietnam...
Some take it like a man, some cry...

Kerry and the Dems have the gall to claim that because Kerry was a
decorated Vietnam vet, he should get a pass on everything he ever says
or does in civilian life from then on. Nothing he has done or said
since he was honorably discharged and entered public service can be
questioned, because after all, that would be "attacking a war hero".
Someone should remind the Dems that Benedict Arnold was a war hero too.

"John Kerry takes a back seat to no one when it comes to maintaining

Kerry took a back seat to President Reagan when Reagan modernized our
military. When Reagan took office, our Army actually had only ONE
MONTH's supply of ammunition left. Our planes and ships and tanks were
aging, compared to the modern hardware that the Soviets were building
rapidly.
Reagan revitalized our military.
In the Senate, Kerry fought that every step of the way.
In 1991, we won Gulf War I with the weapons systems that Kerry
unsuccessfully opposed: the F-14 and F-15 fighter jets, and the cruise
missile, which has turned out to be one of the most fabulously effective
tactical weapons ever built.
We fought both Afghanistan (2001) and Iraq (2003) with a military armed
over Kerry's opposition in the 1980's. (It takes 10-20 years to develop
a new weapon system. Oppose it in the 1980's and we wouldn't have it
today.)

I do hope the Bush campaign reminds voters often
about that. They have to be subtle about it though.
