it still is about military presence, just not using it so carelessly,
and stupidly, as Bush and Cheney do...
For any number of reasons, the role of the US army in the middle east
should be examined. BUT, Pelsoi did mention redeployment, which is
what Adm Fallon wanted, too.
So what's the big deal?
It's a start, for the huge mess Bush and Cheney made, it won't be
cleaned up in a day, and perhaps removing the troops from Iraq, but
keeping a presence would allow Iraq to stabilize somewhat, or at the
very least, provide a psychic backdrop to mitigate anymore ethnic
cleansing...
