For all those Republicans out there jumping up and down with joy at
actor Fred Thompson running as a candidate from President -- it is
time to deal with Reality.
I know, I know. You reactionary right-wing fantastic have a very,
very hard time dealing with Reality. But let us try in a very simply
way, or you might understand:

In the past THREE months, there have ONLY been 181 posts in
alt.politics about Fred Thompson.
And most of those post only have 1-5 posts in, often by the same
people posting over and over again that Thompson will run and be
president.
Glancing through, the most I saw had 25; that is next to nothing on
Usenet.
And do not forget, not all of these posts are in SUPPORT of Fred
Thompson. Many are against him and his running as a lost cause.
So, Neocons, here is the Reality. If Fred Thompson runs, if he
manages to raise the money for a campaign, etc., etc., no one other
then you very few are going to care or believe he has any chance of
success of winning the Republican nomination, let alone the
Presidency.
If Thompson cannot even get much attention on USENET, he hasn't no
chance at all of getting it in Reality.
So if you think Thompson is going to WIN, it is time you visited a
psychologist and psychiatrist and start getting on anti-psychotic
medications.
