American People "Snuff" Another Bunch of Kids

Election Day is "Judgement Day"
The serial mass-murder of children in Afghanistan got a boost this
week as agents of the American people brought another 15 young lives
to an early end in two separate incidents. "The American People?" did
you say? Yes, I'm sorry, wake up and smell the burning flesh. You want
a democracy? Then you take responsibility for the actions of your
leaders. Our President, the entire Congress, and every citizen of the
United States must be considered complicit in the mass-murder and
terrorism being carried out now by their agents in the
military-industrial complex. We have just racked up another 15 dead
children. Are we "winning" yet? Maybe tomorrow we will murder a few
dozen more. And how many the day after that? That is what America has
come to stand for in 2003 thanks to the Bush administration: murder
and terrorism. That is what America means today. And THAT is why the
whole world increasingly hates us.
I admit, I had first thought to title these words differently. I had
written: "George W. Bush Snuffs Another Bunch of Kids." That was also
true. But it occurred to me that in our corrupt hypocricy we are fond
of blathering about our so-called democracy: "Government of the
people, by the people, and for the people." And "by the people" means
we all killed those children, if you really believe in democracy. We
took their lives needlessly and stupidly and put our collective selves
in danger of damnation.
And it also occurred to me that an "election" is coming and that it is
not too early to have our own hypocricy and complicity stuffed in our
faces. It is time to wake up, rudely or otherwise. A year from now we
shall be counted. A year from now we will know exactly (or
approximately, given the inevitable electronic rigging of the
election) how many of the American people are, in fact, mass murderers
of children. Because a vote for George Bush will be a vote to continue
the murders and terrorism. A year from now the wheat will be separated
from the chaff. A year from now we will see what America is made of.
Preposterous citizens in psychopathic denial will whine "But it was an
ACCIDENT! We didn't mean to kill innocent children." But when someone
in a helicopter pulls a trigger on higher orders from "elected"
officials representing nearly 300 million people, that is not called
"having an accident." Wanton murder for power and profit is the name
of the Bush game, and it is unclean and and it is unholy, just as this
terrible Bush administration is unclean and unholy. Our "elected"
leaders now desecrate the earth they walk on. And in this unholiness
children are snuffed for no reason known unto God. You cannot excuse
these acts by any conceivable twisting of words, and given the face of
it, you cannot excuse even a single vote for George W. Bush come the
next year's turning. If I am being blunt I cannot help it. I want to
warn fellow citizens that their very souls are in danger.
Not even Jesus Christ himself could have set up a better Day of
Judgement than election day presents to us next year. It will be
critical that day to bring to mind this week's haul of 15 mangled
childrens' bodies and know that a vote for George W. Bush is the
giving of personal consent for more of the same. It will be your
personal approval of more child-murders and state-approved terrorism.
A vote for George W. Bush will make you yourself a murderer from that
day on. Veteran journalist Helen Thomas has called the Bush
administration the "worst administration in American history," but I
would add the words "most evil," for only that word "evil," so abused
by George Bush himself, can cover the nature of the ongoing acts of
pure aggression and terrorism going on in the name of the People of
America. Next year the line will be very clearly drawn in the sand and
the people will be counted and we will know for sure how many of us
are consenting murderers and terrorists.
An historian like Noam Chomsky will tell me that this is how it has
always been, a whole world history of mass murder and the killing of
babies. But that is history. I have never before seen it going on
right before me, at least not since Viet Nam. I was proud of my
country in those days because en masse we stood up and protested again
and again and said "This is immoral, this is evil. This is unholy and
unclean and we must end this immediately." But I am worried this time.
The evil of it truly seems to have thickened, the despots and tyrants
of Washington seem to have deeper control. They learned from Viet Nam
the sheer volume of lies that must be told, that the free press needed
to be bought up and signed, sealed and delivered, and that the
Constitution really had to be shredded, piecemeal or whole.
I was never much of a believer in the Devil, Old Scratch. But in the
2000 overthrow of the United States Government I really do sense new,
something that seems to be "Satanic." It is already being said of
Election 2004 that "the fix is in," the Diebold and the other machines
will allow tailor-made results. But even if the actual results are
falsified, for that private moment in the booth, for each man and
woman who votes, it WILL be a kind of judgement day, a judgement
occurring only between that single soul and its Maker. It doesn't even
much matter who the opposing candidate is because we KNOW now what
Bush and his criminal gang are. One could just as well replace the two
main names on the ballot with the simple labels: "GOOD" and "EVIL."
If you have any doubt that day think back to this day when mothers of
15 slain children wailed in their grief for their lost babies, and of
the thousands and thousands wailed for their own lost thousands and
thousands, all snuffed by George W. Bush and the American People.
