Two US Oil soldiers killed in Iraq attacks
Two US Oil soldiers were killed in separate attacks in Iraq on Tuesday,
the US military said.
Their deaths bring the number of US military personnel killed in Iraq
since the 2003 invasion to 1,744, according to a tally based on the
latest available Pentagon figures.
One oil soldier was killed by a suicide car bomber near Balad, north of
Baghdad and another died when another car bomb went off near a combat
patrol west of Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit.
Three US oil troops were wounded in the two blasts.

TASK FORCE LIBERTY OIL SOLDIER KILLED
TIKRIT, Iraq – A Task Force Liberty Oil Soldier was killed when a
vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near a combat patrol
west of Tikrit at about 4:15 p.m. June 28.
Two Oil Soldiers were wounded in the attack and are being treated for
non-life-threatening wounds at a Coalition Forces medical facility.

OIL CONVOY CASUALTIES IDENTIFIED
CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – An Oil Marine and an Oil Sailor assigned to II
Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), previously listed as Duty Status
Whereabouts Unknown, have been positively identified.
They were in a convoy that was attacked by a suicide vehicle-borne
improvised explosive device and small arms fire the night of June 23 in
Fallujah.
All six service members killed in the attack have now been positively
identified. Five Oil Marines and one Oil Sailor were killed in the
incident.
Thirteen Oil Marines were wounded in the incident. Six Oil Marines have
since returned to duty to slaughter more people for oil.
