So what? Guess who was marching in the 2006 Gay Pride Parade in
Albuquerque? Heather Wilson (R-NM1), a conservative Republican. Rudy
Giuliani, former mayor of New York, used to be an annual marcher in the St.
Patrick's day parade. That didn't mean he was Irish. Politicians very
often appear in a variety of parades. It's one way of getting seen by the
voters. It doesn't make a damn bit of difference what parades politicians
march in. It DOES make a difference how they vote. Pelosi votes on the
side of rationality and common sense. And yeah, it's also OK to show
solidarity with an oppressed people every now and then.
