A few oil FACTS for airheaded leftists |
Lets just review a few facts which go largely unreported in the media, and
are thus unknown to these leftist airheads.
1. What country do we import the most oil from? Saudi Arabia? No. Canada.
More on this below.
2. Why is OPEC increasing the price of their oil? Because the Iraqi oil is
slowly comming back into the market, and they don't want to see a price
decrease due to a glut on the market.
3. Why don't we drill our own oil? Because the Democratic special interest
"environmental" groups, which finance Kerry, have the silly idea that this
will polute the environment more than bringing oil in by the super tankers
that break up at sea on a regular basis, and create really big envirnmental
desasters.
4. When was the last time we had a major spill at one of our well heads,
pipelines, or oil barges in our country, anything even remotely the size of
one caused by a supertanker? Never? Correct. Why? because these things have
valves that can shut off the flow, and our barges are also double hulled and
compartmentalized. And of course, barges are much smaller than supertankers,
in rivers, not oceans, and can be recovered if sunk.
Supertankers, on the other hand, will continue to leak for decades.
generations.
The Arizona, sunk at Pearl Harbor in 1941, is still leaking oil, and of
course it is nothing like a supertanker.
5. What have the Saudi's told our government when we asked for help on the
price of oil? Answer: Why should we help you, when you won't help
yourselves?
Drill your own oil.
6. Why does Canada allow us to consume their oil? You American haters up
there, get with it! Karen, where are you?
It's about time we rid ourselves of these nitwit special interest groups who
have
absolutely no idea what the consequences of their "politically correct"
agendas actually produce. In fact, the ban on oil drilling here actually
creates major environmental catastrophes on a regular basis, worldwide. If
my country is a danger to anyone, this is where it is.
Kerry? He is bought and paid for by these same airheaded special interests.
If you believe his stump speeches, your too disconnected from reality to
vote.
Have a nice day

1. What country do we import the most oil from? Saudi Arabia? No. Canada.

And the remainder could never be cheaply drilled. Oil from Iraq has a $7
production cost, due to the crude being finer when it comes to the surface.
Oil from continental North America has a $16-$19 production cost due to it
being 'cruder'.
2. Why is OPEC increasing the price of their oil? Because the Iraqi oil is
slowly comming back into the market, and they don't want to see a price
decrease due to a glut on the market.
Please read Economics 101 before you spout this kind of crap.
You can't directly 'increase' the price of oil if there's a glut. Supply and
demand anyone?
3. Why don't we drill our own oil? Because the Democratic special interest
"environmental" groups, which finance Kerry, have the silly idea that this
will polute the environment more than bringing oil in by the super tankers
that break up at sea on a regular basis, and create really big
envirnmental
desasters.
Oil would still come in by sea, as drilling on American soil wouldn't
provide enough.
4. When was the last time we had a major spill at one of our well heads,
pipelines, or oil barges in our country, anything even remotely the size
of

Please see above, you will still keep the supertankers, even if you drill
locally.
Supertankers, on the other hand, will continue to leak for decades.
generations.
The Arizona, sunk at Pearl Harbor in 1941, is still leaking oil, and of
course it is nothing like a supertanker.
Yes, but we would still have Supertankers, even if we drilled locally.
5. What have the Saudi's told our government when we asked for help on the
price of oil? Answer: Why should we help you, when you won't help
yourselves?
Drill your own oil.
Yes, knowing full well (no pun intended) that there is not enough 'American
Oil' to supply demand.
6. Why does Canada allow us to consume their oil? You American haters up
there, get with it! Karen, where are you?
You tell us.
It's about time we rid ourselves of these nitwit special interest groups

Erm no, as I have just stated, your logic is fundamentally flawed.
Kerry? He is bought and paid for by these same airheaded special

Sorry, your thread fell to pieces well before you tried to associate Kerry

Have a nice day
Will do, as long as you keep banging the rocks together.

More facts:
***Toyota Prius*** vs. GMC Sonoma [ a mid-size SUV ]
Gasoline GMC Sonoma:
15 / 19
city / hwy
Gasoline Toyota Prius:
60 / 51 / 55
city / hwy / combined
also note:
Gasoline Cadillac Escalade [ 8 - cylinder ]:
13 / 17
city / hwy
Bonus feature of Prius: Hyper-low emissons - car's exhaust many ways cleaner
than the air of city it exhausts into.
**
In other words, it can be done. So, unless you specifically need a truck,
show a little humility, climb down out of your SUVs and self-glorifying
Cadillac Escalades and quarter your gasoline consumption - or stop
complaining about the Liberals, or Republicans, or the price of gas, or the
Arabs.
What do I drive? The low-emissions Toyota Echo (35/43 cty/hwy). And my next
will be a Toyota Prius if Ford and GM don't come out with low consumption
low emissions vehicles.
