Why doesn't Hitlery and the rest of the Demoncrat Goon Squad in Congress
have the Cajonies to straight up call the General a liar?
Further, why, then if they believe he lied to them, don't they do their
Constitutional Oath of office by court marshaling & decommission the general
since the act of an officer lying to congress carries such penalties?
Answer: BECAUSE IT IS THE CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRATS WHO ARE LYING AND THEY

say that American troops should die to "bring democracy" to that ill
begotten region
which was the same kind of nonsense spouted by Wilson almost a century
ago, also is an INSULT to EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN (and non-citizen!)
alike.
3. Bush is NOT A REPUBLICAN. I will repeat - despite all appearances
to the contrary -> BUSH IS NOT A REPUBLICAN, he is another example
of those with the neo-con anti-American worker "free trade" agenda.
You can see proof of this as more and more well established
REAL REPUBLICANS begin to distance themselves from Bush and wisely
so.
What made BUSH and the subversion of the neo-cons possible?
It was the clever exploitation of the 9-11 attack. Once Bush and the
neo-cons realized that they could get away with almost anything and
get wild popular support
in favor after 9-11, so long as they said it was gong to help in the
"war" on terror,
Bush quickly altered the real war on terror (the search for Bin Laden,
the subhuman animal who has descended himself below the human species)
and started the Iraq adventure with lots of $$$ for war contractors.
In addition there was
the "free trade" agenda which included the outsourcing of jobs and
industries
and the rapid importation of cheap labor and the involvement of the
United
States Dept. of Transportation in the extra legal destruction of our
country's soverignty with its close cooperation to the "Security and
Propsperity" "partnership".
4. The report by General Petraeus is unacceptable, despite its overly
optimistic assessment. The key to long term political settlement, not
to mention the establishment of military stability, is COMPLETELY
LACKING FROM THE REPORT.
ONLY A SIMPLETON -> LIKE PRESIDENT BUSH, would regard such a report
as sufficient grounds to continue our involvement.
So therefore, while you are correct in identifying flip flops and/or
questionable evaluations by the so-called democrats -> YOU HAVE
COMPLETELY FAILED TO GRASP THE FULL STRATEGIC IMPORT OF THE POLITICAL
AND MILITARY CONSEQUENCES
OF the General's FAILED EFFORT.
The token reduction in troop strength and the attempt by the
President to DARE to make a long term commitment to such an
socially, politically, militarily and religiously
unstable region is an INSULT to every intelligent citizen no matter if
they are a (real) Republican, (real) Democrat or (real) Independent.
There is NO WIN in that war just as there was NO WIN
in Vietnam and just as there is NO WIN in the current
so called "WAR" on drugs.

Actually, the moveon.org ad argued facts and showed that the facts were at
odds with Petraeus testimony. What was amazing was that the ad appeared
before his testimony and was 100% accurate because his testimony was just
more parroting of the Bush mantra.
Petraeus is constantly at war with the facts. In 2004, just before the
election, he said there was "tangible progress" in Iraq and that "Iraqi
leaders are stepping forward."
Last week Petraeus said "We say we have achieved progress, and we are
obviously going to do everything we can to build on that progress."
Every independent report on the ground situation in Iraq shows that the
surge strategy has failed. Patraeus is "an asskissing little chickenshit."
