No... it's more of a sense of relief that Americans have rejected the
thuggery, the abandonment of traditional American values, and the
dishonesty that the Republican party was dishing out since 2001. I was
literally becoming worried about the course this country was on, so,
the voter rejection of immorality pleases me.
It really is nice to feel that this country can regain the bounce in
it's step. All we had to do was retake the reigns from people like you.

Actually the polls said they voted against the war in Iraq.
And now you guys are trying to decide whether to 'go long' or 'go
deep'? 'Go home' was never really a consideration.
Don't worry. Those that didn't know Liberals would change
their tune as soon as they got in office deserved to learn things
the hard way.
It really is nice to feel that this country can regain the

It's pretty bigoted to call the whole country gay just because
they voted a few libs in.

It's 'reins', numbnuts. And yes, now that they are loaded down
with hypocrites and liars, let's hope the people learn their
mistake in the next two years.

That's OK, in 2008, 2010 at the latest, they'll be rejecting the
thuggery, the abandonment of traditional American values, and the
dishonesty that the DemocRATic party will soon start dishing
out.....just as they did in 1994.

It took 40+ years of Democratic control before they blew it. And they didn't
have to keep shuffling in new Majority leaders because of criminal conduct!

Mostly Americans will probably feel a need for protection and defense
against Terrorism etc. and not just an increase in Justice dept employees to
issue arrest warrants and setup new rights for convicted terrorists.

What are you talking about?
You figure America is so tired of our justice system that they prefer to
skip the whole "charges and trial" thing and feel O.K. just declaring that
people *might* be guilty or something so our government will hold them
forever without actually accusing them of anything?
Why do you hate America so much?

Actually, the Democrats did not blow it the time before. America had
elected a good president in Democrat Bill Clinton, and the country was
enjoying unusually good years on all fronts. Jealous Cons attacked,
and attacked, over six years, coming up with absolutely nothing but
their contrived "scandals" in their attempt to discredit Clinton's
successful presidency. They just could not stand for America having it
so good.
Finally, there came a whisper that the president had a private love
life, and the Cons jumped all over it. Not ones for chivalry or
discretion, they raised a ruckus about rumors the president had a
private relationship with an adult woman, and plastered the terms
"semen", "cigar", and so on all over the media, which greatly
embarrassed the right-wing christian prudes that traditionally vote
Republicon, enough so that they felt motivated to quelch such frank sex
talk. They couldn't turn out the bedroom lights and cover their bodies
fast enough, and rushed out to the polls to help elect one of their own
-- a clumsy hypocritical blush-at-the-mere thought of nakedness redneck
-- who wouldn't ever have sex with the lights on.
So, the Democrats did not blow it... the RepubliCons blew it... for all
of us. It didn't take long with the Cons in power for America to
realize that these cretins were stupid, hypocritical and incompetent
almost to a man. America realized their mistake, and the house
cleaning has begun.
Don't expect the Cons to get another chance. Much of America is on to
their tricks, and attempts to "swiftboat" and trump up scandals may not
work so well again this time.
No, the Cons outconned themselves. There is renewed hope in America.

Hey when all it takes is a Monica ***** and a wife who trys to run the
country by bashing the military and Clinton neglecting the Terrorists to
look good to Dems; I guess you could say it was a good time for Dems.
Unfortunately it allowed the terrorist to keep plotting and making more
successful attacks. Not to mention a false sense of an internet bubble
economy leading us to an eventual recession beginning in Clinton's last year
in office.

You're wrong. Please recall the facts. The democrats lost both Houses
of Congress in 1993. Why? Mainly over the greedy ol' perverts whining
about the 1993 tax increase. Then there was the fiasco over healthcare.
Greedy ol' Perverts successfully conned stupid voters into thinking
"single payer" national coverage would end medical care for Americans.
Only the disaster of Iraq has overcome the mindset of stupid voters
that democrats will tax America into poverty and then let them die of
treatable illness because doctors will stop practicing medicine. That
the cost of Iraq is creating inflation which the Bush DeptComm refuses
to capture in its calculations...and healthcare is rapidly becoming
unaffordable...doesn't register.
Finally, there came a whisper that the president had a private love
life, and the Cons jumped all over it. Not ones for chivalry or
