Al Gore and the American Constitution Society, the newly established
liberal doppelganger to the Federalist Society, recently initiated
their campaign to "restore the rule of law." This terribly ironic
agenda flies in the face of even well-seasoned politicos as nobody can
honestly believe the ACS and the democrats have a sincere interest in
restoring said rule. Theirs is a party of naked and unabridged power.
But I'll take the bait and press forward.
Does the party (and let's not mince words, the ACS and the Democratic
Party are one in the same) intend to acknowledge that Roe v. Wade was
an unlawful decision - one which cannot be gleaned from the annals of
the 1st, 4th, 5th or 9th Amendments? Will they admit and push to
overrule Grutter v. Bollinger, a decision that flies in the face of 50
years of civil rights progress and unlawfully subordinates one race of
American citizens to another with respect to law school admissions
policies?
Undoubtedly, they won't. Rather, as with the linguistic mauling
unleashed upon the words 'freedom,' 'liberty,' and
'rights,' 'the rule of law' may soon mean nothing.
