Former Senator Tom Daschle, the Pogo Party of Democrats' "Uriah
Heep" impersonator, and Senator Joe Biden, visibly and audibly, their
most intellectually-challenged party member, both reaffirmed this week
their serious consideration of seeking the Presidential nomination.
Added to this laughable list of overreaching pygmies is that of Russ
Feingold, "Cheesehead" Senator from Wisconsin ("res ipsa
loquitor", as we lawyers say), who appears to be using laughing gas
to inflate his Presidential balloon.
The only Senator to vote against reauthorization of the Patriot Act and
among Congress' most shrill whiners about terrorist "rights" and
Gitmo "torture", Feingold seems to believe his ticket can be
punched among fly-over-country voters in a time of war by sympathizing
with our enemies and imploring the Senate to censure and ultimately
impeach the Commander in Chief.
"Dingy Harry" Reid, Senate Pogo Party Leader and holder of the
Senate's award for "the most uninspired, uninspiring Senator",
declined to support Feingold's censure/impeachment effort but said,
"I commend (Cheesehead) for bringing the matter to the attention of
the American people".
I can hear the head of the RNC, now: "Go ahead, make my day."
It is inconceivable that a politician in 1943 would have challenged
President Roosevelt for not providing full open trials and due process
rights to Nazi saboteurs imprisoned on American soil; or because he was
spying on German and Japanese citizens of the US who were in regular
contact with enemy countries.
That may have something to do with why we won that war, just as what
the collaborationist "Three Stooges" really stand for has a great
deal to do with why suicide bombers in Iraq are still at their
monstrous work.
For the Pogo Party of Democrats and the major media who front for it,
the "water's edge", it seems, is the coastline of Iran.
