ARE STATIN DRUGS DANGEROUS? |
Is this the truth about statin drugs?
I was having all kinds of problems taking statin drugs for years (
Zocor, Lovastatin ) like calf cramps and bone and joint pain. Then I
discovered a cholesterol discussion group on Yahoo Groups and the people
pointed me to the following research and many of them think that statin
drugs are actually dangerous, but the drug companies are peddling them
through medical doctors because they're very lucrative!
But I keep finding references to things like them causing myopathy (
muscle destruction - and the HEART is a muscle! ), neuropathy ( nerve
damage ) and even senile dimentia!
And these people are saying that cholesterol isn't even the villain it
was thought to be! That arterial inflamation is! And that can be treated
differently!
I've been off statin drugs for a few months now and feel a WHOLE LOT
BETTER!
According to the following site and the research he cites, there's no
difference in heart attack death rates between the people who take
statins and the ones who don't, and he claims this is because arterial
inflamation is the real culprit and there are other ways of treating
that. So if this is true, don't be fooled by the money grubbing drug
companies who want to make huge profits off you and don't care what
these drugs may be doing to you in the process!
