IDF and ISA arrested three Brothers, Fatah activists
from Nablus, who were involved in money transactions
from Iranian and Hizballah organs, funds which were
used to finance Fatah's terrorist activities, in guise
of funds allocated for social activities.
The IDF and ISA have recently arrested Fadi, Hamdi and
Shadi Abdu, three brothers from Nablus, suspected of
being involved in transferring about NIS 1M,
(US$227,000) from organs associated with Iran and
Hizballah to terrorist entities in the West bank and
Gaza. These funds, suspected to have been transferred
in guise of funds designated to finance social
activities, were in fact used to finance terrorist
activities, among them financing the expenses of the
terrorist attack in Kfar Saba in April this year.
On July 4, 2003 the ISA and IDF arrested, Fadi Abdu, a
leading Tanzim operative, aged 27 and a resident of
Nablus. In the last few years Fadi has served as the
secretary general of the Fatah's Youth Organization
(Shabiba) in El Najah University, and was known as an educator.
In the course of his interrogation, Fadi admitted, that
from July, 2002, he received funds for Fatah operatives
from Fuad Balbisi, a Fatah operative working from Faruq
Kadumi's office - the head of PLO's Political
Department in Jordan. Qadumi was the Iranians'
candidate to head an alternative entity to the
Palestinian Authority, an entity they would lead.
Those intentions were thwarted by the Israeli security forces.
From his domicile in Jordan, Balbisi has been directing
Fatah squads in the Territories and links them with
Irnian and Hizballah entities. Fadi has admitted to
having received NIS 160,000 (US$36.4k) from Balbisi.
Fadi also indicated that as of October 2002 he received
financing from Ali Hussein Saleh . According to foreign
publications Saleh was a leading activist of the
Iranian Revolutionary Guards. He directed, from his
residence in Lebanon, terrorist squads in the
Territories till his death on August 2003. Fadi has
admitted to receiving 30,000 dollars from Saleh. Fadi
also mentioned that he received approximately NIS 1M.
In addition, he indicated that he used young women,
mostly students, as couriers of money transfers. These
couriers, also known as "association leaders", were
used to
distribute the funds to military Tanzim infrastructures
throughout the Samaria area, funds designated to
promote the perpetration of terrorist activities and attacks.
The funds were allegedly transferred to finance Fadi's
educational/social activities, but in fact were used to
finance terrorist activities as follows:
In the course of his interrogation Fadi admitted to
transferring approximately NIS 100,000 (US$22.7k) to
Anir Sawalme, head of El Aqsa Martyrs Battalions in
Balata R.C (arrested in June 2003). Sawalme was
involved in directing many terrorist attacks, to many
of which he received financing and guidance from the
Iranians. Sawalme's interrogations indicate that the
funds he received from Fadi were directly used to
finance the terrorist attack in Kfar Saba's railway
station in April 2003, in which one Israeli was killed
and 15 more were injured.
In addition, Fadi indicated that he linked Balbisi and
Husni Zalum - head of a Tanzim squad who was involved
in murder and directing of terrorist attacks, detained
since November 2002. In the course of his interrogation
Zalum indicated that he maintained contacts with
Hizballah activists in Lebanon as well as with Balbisi
in Jordan, in order to receive financing to his
activities. He also indicated that he used the funds he
received from Balbisi to procure weaponry and to
finance routine terrorist activities. Fadi also linked
Balbisi and Naser Juma'a - a senior military Fatah
operative involved in terrorist attacks.
Fadi recruited his two brothers, Hamdi and Shadi:
Hamdi Abdu, a Fatah operative aged 40, and a resident
of Nablus, was indicated in Fadi's interrogations as
facilitating the money transfers. On October 27th,
2003, Hamdi was also arrested. In the course of his
interrogation Hamdi indicated that a month before
Fadi's arrest, he gave him his account number in the
Arab Bank to be used for money transfers, and that he
was aware of a number of transfers totaling in dozens
of thousands of Shekels (US$227 per k shekels)that were
made through his account. In addition, after Fadi's
arrest, Hamdi received funds from Ali Hussein Saleh.
Shadi Abdu, a Fatah operative, aged 30, and a resident
of Nablus, served as Fadi's assistant, and when the
latter was arrested, he replaced him as the point of
contact with the Ali Saleh -an Iranian Revolutionary
Guards activist. On October 25th Shadi was sent on a
mission to Jordan, on Fadi's behalf, to meet operatives
from Lebanon who would provide him with equipment for
the operatives in the Territories. Upon returning to
the Territories on October 7th, Shadi was arrested; in
his interrogation he admitted to meeting an operative
in Jordan.
The Abdu brothers have transferred nearly NIS 1M
(US$227k) designated to finance military Fatah
activities in Nablus, among them the severe terrorist
attack in Kfar Saba. Those money transfers were made in
guise of funds designated to Fadi Abdu's educational activities.

As Orwell pointed out long ago, pacifism in the face of
armed evil is equivalent to a blind worship of force.
It would be disastrous to entrust our children's fate
to the hands of these sad and complicitous pacifists.
