Border Security Report |

Border Security Report
Last week Ron De Jong (our Communications Director) and I went
to our nation's capital to be on hand for the latest round
of illegal alien rights marches. Organizers were expecting
in the neighborhood of 500,000 protesters, but the actual
turnout was perhaps 5,000-10,000.
The low turnout is, in my opinion, the result of grassroots
citizens who have raised their voices in recent months.
Our combined efforts have helped send a message to
Congress that amnesty is not acceptable. Nonetheless,
the rally was quite insightful in revealing the agenda
of the illegal alien rights activists, and where this
battle is right now. Go here to view our exclusive report:

+ + Border Security top agenda in Congress
House and Senate Republican leaders have pledged to focus
on border security before this session ends in a few weeks.
Sen. Frist and Speaker Hastert both mentioned the feedback
they received while traveling the nation in announcing
their plan. As you know, Grassfire executed a major
grassroots effort this summer to rally citizens to
attend the field hearings. Let me connect the dots...
The actions of Grassfire team members and others this
summer had a direct impact on decisions leaders in
Congress are making this fall. Don’t believe for a minute
that grassroots activity does not make a difference.
+ + Action Item: call your Representative
I just spoke with Grassfire's top contact on Border Security
in the House and he expects votes this week and next on
border security. As we get details, we will immediately
forward you the specifics. For now, I encourage you to
call your Representative and Senators and urge them to
pass border security measures before the November election.

+ + Disguising the Amnesty Agenda
One more comment on the illegal alien rights rally in our
nation's capital...
Most striking of all was the obvious way organizers tried
to hide the true nature of the open borders/amnesty agenda.
For example, Ron and I saw hundreds of American flags and
only a few Mexican flags. This is part of the new strategy
of the open borders agenda -- paint their activities in
patriotic colors. But the facts do not support the flag-waving.
This is one of the reasons we produced our new booklet,
"The Truth about the Illegal Invasion" -- to ensure that
the true nature of the amnesty agenda gets exposed. Our
first printing arrives later this week and already all
booklets have been pre-ordered by Grassfire team members.
We have placed another order for the booklets. Click here

+ + Pausing to remember
Finally, as we pause on this day to remember the terror
attacks that took place five years ago, I want to thank
every Grassfire team member who has helped encourage our
leaders to never forget what happened on that day. Your
petitions, phone calls, letters, emails, calls to talk
radio shows and other efforts are helping to encourage
America to remember.
Our insistence that our leaders take seriously their duty to
secure our borders is a vital component of our nation's
overall response to the 9/11 tragedy. Without secure borders
we cannot have a secure nation.
Thanks for the stand you are taking to secure our nation!
