Maybe they'll remember Iraq
by August Keso, March 22nd, 2006
President George W. Bush is barnstorming the country insisting that Iraq
is on the verge of becoming something akin to a beachside resort and spa
-- just need to be a little more patient and, hey, it'd sure be a big
help if the media could find something positive to report. Like -- ah-um
-- all those satellite dishes being sold and placed atop homes that the
Iraqi people get to enjoy for the few minutes a day that electricity is
actually on. Maybe the "Liberal" media could discuss the fact that Iraq,
with the
world's second-largest oil reserve, is forced to import its gasoline
from other countries because they can't produce their own.
Just what is it that this administration thinks the media should be
reporting? More importantly, where should the U.S. go from here?...more
