Object: Bush can let the cat out of the bag now.
Where are the jobs Bush said were going to be created by his massive tax
cuts for the wealthy and corporations? Corporations have been laying off
while outsourcing to increase their profit margins. The rich have been
buying their trophy houses and toys. American workers have seen jobs get
more scarce as wages and benefits decline. Healthcare is becoming something
only those qualifying for Bush's tax cuts have the luxury to purchase.
Flimflam is the hallmark of the Bush administration and its Republican
Congress.

Bush scales down US jobs growth outlook
Published: 19 December 2004
WASHINGTON: The administration of President George W Bush, after being
ridiculed by Democrats for an overly optimistic jobs forecast this year,
significantly reduced its forecast for new jobs that will be created in
2005. It slightly boosted its estimate for overall economic growth.
In its new economic outlook, the administration predicted the economy will
grow by 3.5 per cent next year and will create an additional 2.1 million
jobs.
A year ago, the administration was forecasting 3.6m jobs would be created in
2005 after 2.6m this year.
Democrats called the forecast for 2004 overly optimistic, an assertion that
proved to be accurate. Through November, just 1.3m jobs were created, half
of the administration's forecast.
The economy has struggled to create new jobs during the recovery from the
2001 recession. Businesses have been successful in boosting production with
fewer workers.
A problem facing the administration with its 2004 forecast was that it was
prepared in late November 2003 as part of the administration's budget
preparations but not released until early February when the budget was sent
to Congress.
In between, the jobs pictured darkened significantly with a string of weak
monthly figures, thus making the administration's forecast look even more
optimistic.
The administration said the overall economy as measured by the gross
domestic product will grow by 3.5pc next year and 3.4pc in 2006. A year ago,
the administration was forecasting growth at slightly lower rates of 3.4pc
for 2005 and 3.3pc for 2006.
For the current year, which is almost over, the administration now sees the
economy expanding, when measured from the fourth quarter of last year, by
3.9pc, down from an expectation of 4pc this time a year ago.
On inflation, the administration predicted that consumer prices will rise by
2pc next year, down sharply from an expected 3.4pc increase this year.

A pattern of deception
A hard truth appears to have escaped the notice of the public and received
scant attention from the media: Bush is the first president in American
history to use deceptive propaganda as his main means of communications in
selling his policies. His pattern of deception continues unabated and in
direct conflict with the notion of the public's informed consent that is
central to American democracy.

As the Labor Department household survery showed, almost 2 million net
additional jobs were created during the Bush Administration. This is IN
SPITE OF the Muslim Terrorist attacks of 9/11.
Why do you ask? Are you looking for word again, Sogobia?

Corporations don't want to create jobs. They would sooner outsource or
invest in automation. If you want them to create jobs with the money
you give them, you must put strings on it.
