Bush defiant in face of emissions ruling
WASHINGTON -
Even as the Supreme Court ruled that reducing greenhouse gases that
cause global warming were the responsibility of the federal
government, President Bush said he felt he had done enough on the
issue.
On Tuesday Bush gave no indication that he would instruct the
Environmental Protection Agency to start regulating emissions produced
by motor vehicles.
Instead he was almost defiant saying his plans to increase automobile
fuel efficiency appeared to be enough for now.
