There's nothing an islamic kook country likes less than a free
democratic country near it.

democratic country near it.
At the moment I am typing this,
the only "free democratic country" near Iran is Turkey.
There's an anarchic society in Iraq which may or may not stabilize after
their constitution is approved next year.
But until then at any rate, it's like the Wild West in Iraq right now.
