BUSH LAUNCHES ECONOMIC ATTACK ON OWN COUNTRY |
Apparently, President Bush is drawing up plans to disable sections of the GPS
network in the event of a terrorist attack. The rationale seems to be that it
would prevent said terrorists from using the GPS system to direct some sort of
attack.

the idea of the bush/cheney neocons/oligarchs launching an attack on
the american way of life shpuld not strike anyone as new considering
that they abhor "big government" ie regulations curbing their land-rape
privileges, etc, etc...
the neocons think that big govt can only be curbd by creating a
financial "crisis" to force the various legislators, branches of
govt., agencies, whatever to retrench and draw in their horns. this is
the basis of their cut taxes and spend policy and their seeming
tolerance and even affection for deficit spending.
they think we've had it all too good under the roosevelt new deal
policies and want to roll it all back so they can once again have
mint-juleps on the veranda while the rest of us work for nothing.

They only ones that have been attacking the American way of life for the
past 50 years are leaning left. Up until 1994, have had majority control of
congress for 50+ years and the white house concurrently half of those years.
To suggest life has been hunky-dory during their tenure is proposterous.

in the last century or so...for instance child labor laws, minimum
wage, right to unionis, right to strike, social security benifits etc,
etc...
