Bush seems impaired; probably drinking again |
What could cause President Bush to so totally lose his grip on reality that
he spouts obvious falsehoods about Saddam not allowing UN inspectors in as
the reason for the war? Seems that he's probably drinking again, heavily by
the looks of it. The public burping and belching is one sign of this.
Dropping unconscious after choking on a pretzel is another. But the sure
signs of his drinking are his slurred speech, memory loss and inability to
hold a coherent conversation. This man needs help. God help us all.

I don't think its drinking..You would see more disorientation from
him. I think it has to be some kind of prescription drugs..or illegal
drugs. He definately is on something!-He is totally out of it!
seriously-I think someone who actually has some concern about the
country should force some kind of Drug Testing on the President. If
they can force Airplane pilots they need to get him to submit to a
drug test ASAP! before more people are killed for his addictions.

But, under the threat of an invasion at least, Saddam let the inspectors
back in just before Bush took us to war.

Actually Saddam didn't let the inspectors back into Iraq as the terms
were
set. Saddam did not comply with the terms that the United States of
America
set and Bush has the balls to show the world that the USA is not going
to
screw around with a person like Saddam when American lives are on the
line.
You really should brush up on your thought process before you open your
mout
and show the world what an idiot you are : -)
My, aren't we the macho man, just like your bring-em-on hero Bush.
That's funny, one of your liberal friends just called bush a good mouth
peice. I think you should talk to him about that.
The unfortunate thing is that our troops are stuck in a shooting gallery
in
Iraq being maimed and killed every day becdause of the Appointed Idiot's
political blunder.
I agree that it is unfortunate that US troops are being killed. I agree
that Bush was appointed if you mean that Bush was voted in by the American
people. Get over it. Every count, before and after he took office shows
that Bush had the electoral votes. I don't agree that it was a political
blunder. It was a huge success, militarily, politically, for the US and for
the world. The unfortunate part of it is that the US had to do it with just
a few other countries where is should have had active participation of the
world.

"The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought
significant quantities of uranium from Africa"
Is this the lie that you are referring to? Is this the lie that everyone is
talking about? My first question should be, is this a lie. You can't prove
it is and you can't prove it isn't but you call it a lie. The fact is that
Saddam has tried to make the bomb since the 80s and it is not unreasonable
to believe that he recently tried to obtain uranium from Africa. Blair
believed this to be the case based on intelligents reports and stands by it.
This information has been passed to the US government and that is what the
16 words are saying. The only reason it should not have been included in
the State of the Union Address is because the US government could not
independently substantiate it.

You are looking at such a small piece of the picture, Gogarty. Try to
expand your view. I am assuming that you are a liberal (forgive me if I'm
wrong) and you just don't like Bush. If you remove any bias you may have
and look at the facts, you will see that removing Saddam is a very good move
in many ways. The US didn't do this by itself but, it should have had the
over whelming support of the world.
In my personal opinion, G. W. Bush had the attempted assassination of his
father, G. H. W. Bush that started the ball rolling and if this was the only
reason for the US to remove Saddam, I would agree with you but, it wasn't.
It may have been started because of a personal vendetta but without the many
other reasons, I don't think it would have gotten passed the idea stage.
Taking Saddam out was the right thing to do.

Um, it is 2003. UN Inspectors were in Iraq up until a few weeks before
the war, if I recall. The "What about Clinton?" defense simply misses
the mark here, and actually calls attention to how Clinton was pretty
"by the book" regarding things like Iraq. You really don't intend to

What could cause President Bush to so totally lose his grip on reality
that
he spouts obvious falsehoods about Saddam not allowing UN inspectors in as
the reason for the war? Seems that he's probably drinking again, heavily
by
the looks of it. The public burping and belching is one sign of this.
Dropping unconscious after choking on a pretzel is another. But the sure
signs of his drinking are his slurred speech, memory loss and inability to
hold a coherent conversation. This man needs help. God help us all.
You seem to have forgotten that Saddam only allowed inspectors back in AFTER
the ball was set in motion for using military force. Either you forgot
that, or thought we had. On second thought maybe you're drinking again.
It's like me taking the police on a 90 mile chase before pulling over, and
then arguing against evasion charges by saying that I pulled over.

Okay, I'll play.
In your 90 mile chase analogy, the police didn't shoot you because you
gave
them a chase. They shot you because they said you had a gun that you were
about to use on them.
I'll connect the dots for you:
Bush never claimed before the war that were going in because Saddam
wouldn't
let UN inspectors in, because the UN inspectors were already in Iraq. He
said the war was because Saddam had WMD and posed an imminent threat to
our
nation's security.
It seems that you are a few dots short of a set. Saddam did not comply with
the terms as the United States set them, if he had, we wouldn't have had to
kick his *****.

So then you agree that saying his blocking of inspectors was one of the

So why do you insist something you just admitted as true is a lie?
