Bush supporters use carrier photo in raising money

WASHINGTON --
The White House said that President Bush's landing on an aircraft
carrier to declare the end of war in Iraq was not intended for his
political gain.
But a conservative group that supports Bush's policies has built a
fundraising campaign around an official Navy photo of the president on
the ship's deck.
Citizens United for the Bush Agenda is asking up to $1,000 from 30,000
people who were mailed the photo in the past month.
For an additional $43, which refers to Bush being the 43d president,
donors can also receive an official baseball cap bearing the name and
image of the carrier, the USS Abraham Lincoln.
For $75, they can get two.
''He is clearly a commander-in-chief who is proud to be in the company
of his troops -- a striking contrast to former president Bill Clinton,
who openly `loathed' the military,'' the group's president, David N.
Bossie, wrote in a letter accompanying the photograph.

Y'all remember David Bossie, doncha?
From Capitol Hill Blue, 5/7/98:
The fallout over the tapes quickly claimed one victim, the House
committee's chief investigator, David Bossie, who supervised the
transcript release.
He was fired Wednesday on orders of Speaker Newt Gingrich, but allowed
to write a letter of resignation.
GOP sources said Burton fought to retain Bossie, but Gingrich
demanded to know Tuesday night why he hadn't been fired.
Burton then told the speaker that Bossie would resign.
Yup. it's *that* David Bossie. The guy with a history of doctoring
audio tapes.

What a howl! President YellowBelly, who did everything but cut off a
foot to escape active service, poses as Fearless Leader! The only
danger that ***** ever faced came from coughing up a pretzel.
The suckers who bought that photo would have been better off with a
pic of Elmer Fudd in a tutu.

GW looks quite credible and he is such a cute little monkey.

The F-102 is a pretty exciting ride.

Are you incinuating something about Kerry?

The same could be said of just about any actor who ever portrayed an
officer in the movies. But you see, Tarver, they weren't really
officers; they were just making believe...playing a part. Get it?

Except GW is the real CinC.

The only
danger that ***** ever faced came from coughing up a pretzel.

I think it would be pretty relaxing knowing you won't see combat.

There was no way to know that, ANG F-102s saw action in Viet Nam.

The suckers who bought that photo would have been better off with a

I'm not "incinuating" anything.

Kerry has some things in common with Davis.
