Bush "truly not concerned" about bin Laden |
Q But don't you believe that the threat that bin Laden posed won't
truly be eliminated until he is found either dead or alive?
THE PRESIDENT: I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned
about him.

That's because he can't catch him. They screwed up getting Bin Laden at Tora
Bora. Now Bin Laden is apparently holed up in Pakistan and Americans can't
get in there and Pakistanis won't go in there even making an agreement with
the local war lords to not pursue. Bush is like a little kid who's mom said
he can't have a toy so the kid says "Big deal...I didn't want the toy
anyway." So it is with Bush, he can't get Bin Laden and Al Zawahiri so "he's
not concerned about them." Of course, he should be, they are important
symbols who keep the fires burning with tape releases and constant taunts
plus they are criminals who should be brought to justice even if they are no
longer relevant. There is no statute of limitations on murder.
