Blair confirms resignation plans

Going, going ..... gone next year.
The pressure has finally gotten to British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
With demands from his own party for his resignation growing every day,
Blair said today he will step down in 2007.
But he won’t say exactly when.
And he appears to have gone down fighting.
News reports say he had a shouting match with Treasury chief Gordon
Brown, tipped as his successor, over the timing of his departure.
