I thought the failure to defend the Southern border a sufficient reason to
refrain from supporting the President in 2004. (No, of course, I could
not
support Kerry or Nader, who were equally uanacceptable.)
I thought that the farcical speech in New Orleans, promising
$200,000,000,000 to impress the former slum dwellers that the President
was
on their side a sufficient reason to repudiate the President as in any
sense
a Conservative.
I thought the May 15, 2006 speech on Immigration, worthy of a direct
rebuke
in http://pages.prodigy.net/krtq73aa/bush1.htm
as I had earlier responded to the confused and intellectually vacant
Second
Inaugural Address in http://pages.prodigy.net/krtq73aa/debate2.htm.
But never have I heard a more contemptible pandering to all that is wrong
in
America over the past two generations, than in the President's address to
the NAACP, this morning. The man does not have a clue as to the history
or
values of the Nation he is supposed to be leading. When the man suggests
that a Leftwing movement was necessary to achieve American purpose, he
slanders not only the Founding Fathers, but a dozen generations of the
settler stock, which formulated our institutions, our cultural heritage,
and
our ascent to prominence in the world.
lol How's that?
