Chickenhawk Cheney sez we'll get em one at a time |

Cheney: We'll get em one at a time
by Joe in DC
8/18/2005
So, why don't you and the Cowboy suit up and head to Iraq to hunt the
insurgents down "one at a time"?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/08/18/AR2005081801644.html
Round up the rest of the chickenhawks and form a posse:
Vice President Cheney declared yesterday that the United States "will
not relent" in the war in Iraq and will hunt down insurgents there
"one at a time if necessary," implicitly rebutting escalating pressure
on the Bush administration to bring U.S. troops home.
This macho tough talk from Bush and Cheney only leads to trouble for
the soldiers on the ground in Iraq.
And, by the way, *****, there was one uber-insurgent you were going to
hunt down "dead or alive" and you ain't got him yet.
__________________________________________________________
As a student in the 1960s during the Vietnam War, Cheney received four
student deferments from the military draft.
What is intriguing about this utterly uncharismatic, efficient,
hawkish Vice President is the fact that he never served in the
armed forces.
He says that he was generally supportive of the Vietnam war and
opposed to the demonstrators.
But his hawkishness didn't lead him to volunteer; instead he accepted
student deferments which allowed him to avoid military service.
All Cheney will say is, "As did most other Americans, I watched the
war from afar."
There remains something odd about this hard-line Cold Warrior's
evasion of what would seem to be his patriotic duty.

The more that die, the longer the war lasts, and the more contracts
Haliburton gets. We're not going to pull out of Iraq. Anyone entertaining
that fantasy is a fool, and will continue to bite the eucker bait.
Iraq, Iran and Syria are cash cpws, that will be milked for years, unless we
the voting public rise up and do something to stop the bleeding. If we dont,
our children will be debating this same *****, and our grandchildren will be
dying in Haliburton signature wars.

Funny how they both talk so much ***** and both of them are basically draft
dodgers themselves.

Maybe Cheney has a bit of an aversion to blood and gore, maybe like Himmler
did?

Someone else will be the one putting their life on the line - that's
the chickenhawk's way.
