Michael Reagan: 'Let the military go do what it does best, kill people
and break things'
David Edwards and Muriel Kane
On Thursday, MSNBC's Scarborough Country discussed the rapid increase
in US military casualties in Iraq and the latest Gallup Poll, which
shows 54% of Americans wanting to get out of Iraq and only 25% saying
to stay the course.
In light of these facts, Joe Scarborough asked conservative
commentator Michael Reagan, "What can a president do but abandon a
bloody and unpopular war?"
"Shut off the television sets," Reagan responded.
"I mean, when was the last time you heard a body count on the other
side? ... All you hear about is the body count of Americans, not the
job that they are doing."
He continued, "If I was there with the president of the United States,
know what I'd tell him? I'd tell him shut off the press, let the
military go do what it does best, kill people and break things. ...
Give them some positive news about what these soldiers are doing that
are fighting. Yes, they are dying, but they are doing such a fabulous
job ..."
Moving on to elaborate on the negative consequences of the US pulling
out of Iraq, Reagan said, "I wouldn't blame Japan or Taiwan to go
nuclear, because no longer will anybody in the world be able to trust
the United States of America."
If Iraq is returned to the Iraqis, he insisted, one or two million
people will die and "they'll find another reason to hate America."
The following video is from MSNBC's Scarborough Country.

The only thing bush served were more drinks while he was AWOL or
bravely guarding the Gulf Coast from the VC. Please, that ***** was
as close to combat as he was ever going to get, 9,000 miles or so.
Kind of like the rest of the bitchlike con "leaders" when it comes to

bloody and unpopular war?"

Michael Reagan: 'Let the military go do what it does best, kill people

David Edwards and Muriel Kane

On Thursday, MSNBC's Scarborough Country discussed the rapid increase
in US military casualties in Iraq and the latest Gallup Poll, which
shows 54% of Americans wanting to get out of Iraq and only 25% saying
to stay the course.

In light of these facts, Joe Scarborough asked conservative
commentator Michael Reagan, "What can a president do but abandon a
bloody and unpopular war?"

"Shut off the television sets," Reagan responded.

So would it be fair to say you consciously made a lie of omission and
alteration because you didn't want people to know that while his

politically powerful families.

Yes, that is what a champagne unit is. That definition does not, however,
apply to any of the units that you have listed. Are you hearing "the
voices"?

The 147th Fighter Interceptor Group was a champagne unit.

So you say, yet you provide no personnel roster to back up your claim.

I'm sure that Ben Barnes can provide you a list.

So you're saying that people who served in the National Guard and

Only those who served in champagne units.

Define "champagne unit".

A champagne unit is a US military unit that is staffed by celebrities
or
people from wealthy or politically powerful families.

Really? So the 3rd Armored Division was a champagne unit?

Where did I say that?

Right here: A champagne unit is a US military unit that is staffed by
celebrities or people from wealthy or politically powerful families.

The 3rd Armored Division is staffed by celebrities and the sons and
daughters of the rich and powerful? There aren't any regular folks in it?
Cite?

According to you, it is a champagne unit since "celebrities" have
served in the unit. Nice try on the spin though.

The 5th Marine Division was a champagne unit?

Where did I say that?

Who could have guessed that so many highly decorated military units
were nothing more than "champagne units"?

Where did I call them champagne units?

Right here: A champagne unit is a US military unit that is staffed by
celebrities or people from wealthy or politically powerful families.

Yes, that is the definition of a champagne unit. But I didn't call a single
highly decorated military unit a champagne unit. Do you have perception
problems beyond those that you have revealed to us already. Do you, like
George W. Bush, "hear the voices"?

Then by your own definition, those are "champagne units". How does
that crow taste?

Bet there are some Medal of Honor recipients who would be stunned to
know that. You might want to go to Arlington Cemetary and let them
know that.

Let them know what? That you called their units champagne units? You
are
certifiably insane as well as a fucking compulsive liar.

These are your own words, liar: A champagne unit is a US military
unit that is staffed by celebrities or people from wealthy or
politically powerful families.

Yes, that is what a champagne unit is. That definition does not, however,
apply to any of the units that you have listed. Are you hearing "the
voices"?

Yes it does. EVERY one of those units has had a "celebrity" in it
during wartime. How does that crow taste?

Yet you can't. Not terribly surprising.

Please provide proof that I said "it is a champagne unit since celebrities
have served in the unit." You are such a fucking liar that it is hard to
believe that somebody hasn't taken you out a long time ago.
