Clinton memoirs hit million mark

EX-US president Bill Clinton's My Life is a million seller.
"This is an astonishing number for a work of non-fiction," Sonny
Mehta, president of Alfred A Knopf, said today.
Mr Clinton received a reported $10 million for My Life, which Knopf
published on June 22 with a first printing of 1.5 million and a
suggested price of $35.
The former president's memoir is already in its third printing, with
the total print run just under 2.6 million.
It sold 400,000 copies on the first day alone, believed to be a record
for non-fiction.
Living History, the memoirs of former first lady Hillary Rodham
Clinton, came out last year and has 2.3 million copies in print.
