Clinton Told Bush That Bin Laden Top Security Threat, Time Says
April 18 (Bloomberg) --
Former President Bill Clinton told the commission probing the Sept. 11
attacks that he warned President George W. Bush after the 2000
election that Osama bin Laden would be his top national-security
threat, Time magazine said, citing unidentified sources close to the
panel.
Clinton testified before the independent panel on April 8 in a
private, unrecorded session.
The commission plans to ask Bush about the conversation when he and
Vice President Richard Cheney meet with its members in a similar
closed setting, Time said.

I doubt that a even B.J. Clinton is stupid enough to believe his own lies.
Clinton never got beyond treating Usama bin Laden and terrorism if they were
just plain law enforcement problems. Clinton was blindly committed to the
law enforcement approach. The problem prior to September Eleven is that
while the terrorists were at war with us, we were not at war with them.

war with them.

B.J. Clinton, just as John F[rench] Kerry still does, views terrorism as
if it were merely a law enforcement problem. That why Clinton appointee
Jamie Gorelick heightened the wall between law enforcement and intelligence.
That is way Clinton never got beyond the symbolic use of the military, using
cruise missiles to blow up empty tents.
Not only was Clinton's law enforcement model wrong then, it is still wrong
today.

Sez nonstop liar David Lentz.
Next time you see your local law enforcement professionals, ask them how
many AC-130 Spectre gunships, nuclear cruise missile subs, Special Forces in
Uzbekistan, and Hellfire/Predator drones they're using. You know, all the
stuff Clinton set out and Rummy brought back. lol

Just as Clinton does, I am sure most guys like a nice slow BJ - how about
you David?
As for "French" Kerry - how fucking funny!! How could a moron like you
think such a thing up.
And how about those conservative talking points like "law enforcement model!"
I bet you don't even know what that means you fucking doofus. Just cut and
paste from Karl "the coward" Rove's talking points memo.
David - if you are so fucking gung ho about this war - join the military
and go to Iraq to fight for "freedom and democracy!" You sack of *****.

The problem with a military enforcement approach is that the terrorists
live in almost every country in the world. Are we going to invade all
of them ala-Afghanistan? The military enforcement approach is quite
inappropriate as Bush has so clearly demonstrated.

How is the military approach to terrorism inappropriate? Under the Clinton
administration, the United States was subject to a long series of terror
attacks. Are building were attacks. Our embassies were attack. Our ships
were attacks. Our airliners were blown out of the sky. Yet Clinton did
nothing.

If the state sponsors or otherwise encourages terrorism against the
United States, most definitely.

inappropriate as Bush has so clearly demonstrated.
So we did the wrong thing by invading Afganistan?
