CBS & Dan Rather had the right to publish the pictures, but now they must

Some freedoms have responsibilities.
How many more Americans will be killed for the CBS right to publish
inflammatory pictures?
When will they realize they can not shout "Fire" in a closed building.
Why didn't CBS publish the dismembered bodies of American civilians
murdered
by Muslim Terrorists?
Why didn't CBS publish the videos of American civilians jumping to their
deaths from the WTC after the 9-11 Muslim Terrorist attacks?
Why do they only publish material that show Americans in a bad light?
Why are they so anti-war & anti-Bush?
It's called news.
Americans, who for some odd reason are great believers in the
greatness and light they are bringing to the world, might actually be
surprised to see what their grunts get up to overseas.
I think most people with an imagination have a pretty good idea what a
dismembered corpse will look like without needing to see it. It would
be gratuitous and likely to be against the regulations for tv
broadcast, anyway.
I don't know about you but I think that the events of 9-11 got pretty
thorough tv coverage... how much more did you need?
What we know for a fact is that the US military did almost nothing
until these pictures came out. Now, of course, they look for nobodies
who can take the blame.
Where have you been. CBS did not break the story, the military did that in
January.
The military started the investigating the day after it was reported in
January.
They determined it was enough for several lines of investigations.
This was anounced to the world by the military in a news conference in
January.
In February the General in charge of the prison was relieved of duty.
Each month they gave on update.
This month the trials will start.
The pictures did not NEED to be published.
But it served the CBS agenda of anti-war & anti-Bush to show them.
Now they have the responsibility of the results.

At least Taguba had the morality to tell the truth, though I've seen
some backtracking from him in a televised interview: he seems now to
be backing the 'just a few bad eggs' line, although his report says
otherwise.
