Yes, ALL of the Democratic Party candidates were vociferous in the
condemnation of the Bush administration's response to the hurricanes
which decimated the gulf coast.
Problems they listed were: 1) that FEMA was put under the hellish and
otherwise sinful Department of Homeland Security, which has proven to
be a inefficient bureaucratic boondoogle: 2) That there is ENTIRELY
too much money being spent on the "wars" in Iraq and Afghanistan to
the exclusion of the well being of the loyal citizens of the United
States: 3) that there are entirely too many "hired gun" contractors
such as the evil Halliburton and the evil Blackwater Consulting
assigned to work on "government projects" on the Gulf Coast despite
being proven to be so inefficient in Iraq and Afghanistan: 4) that the
workers who are working on fixing things in the affected areas are
mostly Latino work crews that are performing shoddy service: 5)
because the workers for those evil contractors like Halliburton and
Blackwater Consulting are being paid top dollar (over 9 times the
daily amount a cop or fireman in the affected areas make) and then,
also being administrators of those "guvmint projects", turning around
and hiring the sweat labor and billing as though those sweat crews
were proficient, which they ain't: 6) unspoken in all of this, but
due to the involvement of Blackwater Consulting and their penchant for
being spies, is that the people in those areas are being monitored by
those charlatans at Blackwater Consulting in violation of the laws of
the United States of America: 7) that the average annual allocation of
money for Gulf Coast Hurricane Recovery is only $50B, whereas the
average annual allocation of money for the "wars" in Iraq and
Afghanistan is $110B+. \
The kind, caring, sympathetic, and empathetic (as Democrats ALWAYS
are) Democratic Party candidates assured the fine and honest people of
the Gulf Coast that they will remove the constraints put on the effort
that has so become a hallmark of the evil, repressive, iconoclastic,
Neanderthal Bush administration.
Duncan Hunter, of California, and a Republican who is running for
President in 2008, did himself no small favors by devoting a lot of
his allotted time to basically insulting the fine and honest people of
the Gulf Coast who suffered so horribly at the tragedies of Hurricanes
Rita and Katrina, by singing that same old Republican song that "it is
time for people to quit thinking of the federal government in terms of
'entitlements'". Duncan Hunter was called to task by the moderator,
who informed him that the people in those areas were taxpayers, as
well as constituents, and deserved to have the problems addressed and
fixed. Duncan Hunter then put his (devil) tail between his legs and
tried to beg off, but he had already been called down. And, whether
he realizes it or not, I am present here and now to tell Duncan Hunter
- forget it man, you showed what a imbecile you are, and that you have
no positive attributes. You are even worse than GWBush, and that is
saying quite a lot!
And when GWBush had made his appearence marking the 2nd anniversary of
Katrina, he was run out of town on a rail. Just as Condo Rice and
Karen Hughes were when they were assigned to go to Middle Eastern
countries and play up GWBush's vision: too bad it is now referred to
"AmeriKKKKan DemoKKKKracy" because of the prince of evil empire #4,
instead of the "American Democracy" such patriots as John F. Kennedy,
Jimmy Carter, and Bill Clinton delivered. Back then, during the terms
of Kennedy, Carter, and Clinton the United States was respected
throughout the world. Now, sadly that is not the case. The GWBush
administration is full of bad apples, hence it is no surprise that the
barrel has gone rotten!
