Like many people i think the outrage with Iran is really about Iran's
plan to open an oil trading bourse and thereby undermine the US
dollar. It was scheduled to open march 20 but apparently did not. It
looks like all of bush's talk about impending war convinced Iran that
since the foreign traders will not use their bourse if bombs are
falling in-country, there is no point in even opening it.
The irony is bush can't take credit for this since he told america his
concern was with Iran developing nuclear weapons. But it looks like
bushie saved the dollar at least for a while and without firing a
shot.
Bush's trillion dollar war trumps that.
Oh yes - he's still a monstrous failure. Even for an american president.
