Diebold Election Systems May Face Criminal Charges. |
The Ohio-based company's president, Walden O'Dell, sent out a
fundraising letter for President George W. Bush's re-election
campaign, saying his company was committed to "helping Ohio deliver
its electoral votes" for Mr. Bush.
And the first time the Diebold machines were used in a major election,
in Georgia in 2002, the election delivered surprise upset victories to
two Republican congressmen.

Diebold May Face Criminal Charges
By Kim Zetter
Apr. 23, 2004
SACRAMENTO, California --
After harshly chastising Diebold Election Systems for what it
considered deceptive business practices, a California voting systems
panel voted unanimously Thursday to recommend that the secretary of
state decertify an electronic touch-screen voting machine manufactured
by the company, making it likely that four California counties that
recently purchased the machines will have to find other voting
solutions for the November presidential election.
The panel also voted to send the findings of its recent Diebold
investigation to the state's attorney general for possible criminal
and civil charges against the firm for violating state election laws.

Diebold May Face Criminal Charges
Let's hope so. The more Republicans we get imprisoned the better the
country is, to be certain.
Diebold should have continued to try to pretend that the evidence of
their crimes were "copyrighted." It didn't work when the Scientology
crime syndicate tried to make the claim that their "NOTs 34" texts
detailing their quack medical frauds were some how "copyrighted" and
as such couldn't be entered into court evidence but maybe Diebold
with their Republinazi money would be able to bribe enough Republinazi
Judges to pull it off.

and Diebold were caught with a file of phony election results on their

election.
