Object: Disappearing Bumper Stickers
Just the other day I noticed that the Bush-Cheney '04 bumpersticker on
a car that I occasionally park behind at the lot had disappeared. I
also noticed that the nice lady who runs the flower shop in the lobby
had taken down her picture behind the register of George W. Bush, and
replaced it with an adorable portrait of her granddaughter. And all
those ribbons and banner at the desk of the aide whose cube I pass a
couple of times a month? Gone.
But when I think back to those flag waving street corner rallys, and
ALL of those cars emblazoned with OUR flag, and ALL those bumper
stickers in support Bush and Cheney just about everywhere, it feels
good to know America, slowly but surely is returning to it's senses,
and without that in-your-face "You are with us or you are with the
terrorist," psychotic mind-set which has retarded this country, and of
which had pitted one American against another over deadly and bloody
failed foreign policy and strategy, on the other side of the world.
Yes. Something as subtle as a message on a red, white & blue bumper
sticker in a field of stars, can also indicate the 'sign of the
times.' And it feels good to know that to be an American, one doesn't
have to wrap one's self in a flag, but every right to see, and honor
those caskets which are now draped with them.

You know what else is becoming really scarce? Those yellow support the
troops magnets. Bunch of wagon jumpers. Ironic considering the troops need
support more then ever what with their service during an unpopular war.

I wonder how much pirated Iraqi oil has been sold by George the Arab
and how much money has he made off it?

The other day we had a party at my house, and one of the people there - a
long time staunch republican - announced that he couldn't take it any more
and he was going to join the Democratic Party. He said he still liked
"conservative" philosophies and policies, but that the current batch of
Republicans (not just the executive branch, but also the people like Delay,
Frist, etc.) were just too wacko for him. I think his biggest issues were
economic.

I think he's in for a bit of a surprise, if he thinks the candidate
behind
door #2 will follow more conservative philosophies in the economic
arena. I don't think he'll even see a lesser of two evils.

The neighbor here also removed his sticker after I asked him why
he supports a mass murdering Christian terrorist. The guy is himself
a Christian extremist.

Saw a good answer to the stupid-***** "W" bumper stickers the other day. In
the same overblown, pretentious, neo-classical B&W graphic style that only
appeals to fascist dolts it read:
"F"
