do you think Bill Clinton or FDR was the greatest President of the last
century?
I am thinking Clinton, since he gave us record surpluses, record new jobs,
kept us out of war, and did it in only 2 terms, whereas FDR took 4 terms to
do everything he accomplished (getting us out of the Depression and winning
WWII)
of course the current occupant would easily make worst president of the
century, but for 2nd worse, perhaps Reagan or Hoover?

"Harry Shipman Truman" hands down. Most likely the greatest president in
history, so far.

ROFL . . . you poor moron from Arizona. Bill Clinton gave us
Corporate scandal and misreporting of income that ended in huge
corporations going bankrupt and the loss of hundreds of thousands of
Americans' jobs. Bill Clinton gave us the dotcom bubble that popped,
ending in the loss of money and jobs.
Bill Clinton was an illusion.

Forbes magazine rated Clinton as having the best economic performance
over the last 10 presidents. Based on the statistic Bush would be the
worst economic manager. The world was relatively peaceful under
Clinton. He was one of America's greatest presidents.
Once the right wing religious extremist who now run the country are
discredited after another 4 years, I believe Clinton will be seen for
what he was, one of the best presidents ever.

How can you or anybody else even begin to rate Clinton as having the
best economic performance? All that prosperity was lies and that was
proven with all the corporations went belly up from misreporting their
earnings during Clinton's Presidency.

Ahahahahaha-ho-ho-hoo-heee *cough* *cough*
Impeached Presidents don't usually make the final cut, sweety.
I am thinking Clinton, since he gave us record surpluses
Largest tax increase in United States history--mostly because he knew
this had to come before he nationalized [stole] America's Health Care
Systems-which we didn't allow him to do.
record new jobs
Look, buddy, the Exceutive branch has about 1.6 million employees: who
ELSE do you think he hired?
kept us out of war,
Ahahahahaha-ho-ho-hoo-heee *cough* *cough*
No, really. Stop it please, my sides hurt.
Kosovo. Bosnia. Mogadishu. So-called "al-Qaeda" knocked on his door
repeatedly: 1993 WTC bombing, the Cole, the embassy bombings in Kenya
and Tanzania.
All under his watch, and all while the PRC was buying its way into
Iraq.
It's becomming apparent that you've never cracked a history book or
read a newspaper in your life. Which is okay. You just need to realize
it's rude to interrupt Mom and Dad when they're having a conversation.
and did it in only 2 terms, whereas FDR took 4 terms to
do everything he accomplished (getting us out of the Depression and winning

I'm done laughing; maybe I'll cry now.
FDR kept us from climbing out of the Depression, silly. WWII didn't
get us out of the Depression either--though I realize they told that
to you in a public school somewhere. We didn't return to
pre-Depression economic levels until Truman began to rescind FDR's
fascist economic policies after the war.
FDR didn't win WWII by himself, either. He had a united country behind
him, and he didn't have Peter Arnett at Ste. Mere-Englise with a
microphone and a sat hook up telling us about all the wedding parties
we'd just bombed.
of course the current occupant would easily make worst president of the

Worst President of the 20th Century would have to be Carter. Next
worst: Johnson. Then FDR. Then Hoover.
Bush ain't even in the same league.

New hero? Good lord...
You need to be able to think/read for youself-- not look to others to
articulate their skewed notion of history. Else you end up at the head of
the Kool-aid line-- if you know what I mean.

do you think Bill Clinton or FDR was the greatest President of the last
century?
Obvious answer is "No".
My choice: The other Roosevelt. Now there was a Pres! While TR was
campaigning he was shot in the chest and still took the podium and gave his
speech, blasting the assassin for being a coward and "shooting him in the
dark", and apologised that he had to cut the speech short (not by much) to
go to the hospital.

Retard; that's *five* times you posted your stupidity. Too stupid to

As for Coolidge, if you value people based on what they do (or do not
do), then you must (falsely) put yourself at the top of the list, since
you do nothing but drain the welfare system.

Here is my order for this century:
1) Teddy Roosevelt
2) Harry Truman
3) Woodrow Wilson
4) FDR
5) Clinton
6) Reagan
7) LBJ
8) Kennedy
9) Eisenhower
And as for the rest, they sucked...with Carter being second to last
and Nixon last.
Why is Nixon last? Because when you undermine the constitution, you
should be considered the worst....regardless if he was smart or
established relations with China
Teddy, in my opinion, was the 2nd best after Washington
Truman had to make alot of tough decisions, and made alot of correct
choices
Wilson, while he failed to get the USA to join the League of Nations,
was a visionary, and created the federal Reserve. He realized that
the USA could no longer hide...that the US was now the leader of the
free world.
FDR did more good than bad, but was overrated.
The jury is still out on clinton, but his economic policies really
improved the international community more than domestic policies. He
opened fluctuating currencies in many marktets.
Reagan did help to end communism along with Gorby. Along with
Clinton, I cannot think of a single great piece of legislation that I
consider awesome to this day that he thought of.
LBJ would be #3 except for the Vietnam war. His domestic policies
were masterful....Civil Rights for Blacks allowded them to vote
equally....which had truly been denied them since the Civil War.

of establishing relations with China. All Clinton did was give them our
military secrets, not increase our trade with them.
So your list should read:
9) Nixon
10) Clinton
And everybody else below # 4 move up a notch.

Here is my order for this century:
1) Teddy Roosevelt
2) Harry Truman
3) Woodrow Wilson
4) FDR
5) Clinton
6) Reagan
7) LBJ
8) Kennedy
9) Eisenhower
And as for the rest, they sucked...with Carter being second to last
and Nixon last.
Why is Nixon last? Because when you undermine the constitution, you
should be considered the worst....regardless if he was smart or
established relations with China

Nixon's intelligence was wasted because of his weak psychological concept
and image. He was paranoid to the max, and had on mechanistic relationships
with people. He did much better with his dog.
So your list should read:
9) Nixon
10) Clinton
And everybody else below # 4 move up a notch.
Absolutely not!! If you can't realize the importance of what Clinton did,
you must be in denial. Carter was very intelligent, but he was limited in
his people skills. Norma

You may have a point about Clinton....did he failed to uphold the
constitution?
The quesiton to ask is: Was Clinton's sexual act with an intern
LEGALLY illegal?
I would say no. Did he compromise the office? Quite possibly yes.
To be fair, Clinton warned 1 1/2 years before the end of his
presidency that with 100% certanty there would be a terrorist attack
against us.
Whether Clinton is a quality president or not is still too early to
judge. Had he established peace between Israel and Arafat, he would
get a nudge higher.
NAFTA and The Telecommuncation ACT were big bills for clinton. NAFTA
would pan out better if Mexico got its act together (according to
Business week), and 8 years later The Telecom Act is starting to take
hold. What else about Clinton was passed that was significant?
So yes, maybe Clinton should be lower. Personally, I did well during
the time Clinton was in office, so maybe I am biased. I think another
20 years will make it easier to judge Clinton's policies.

Why is Nixon last? Because when you undermine the constitution, you
should be considered the worst....
Wilson, created the federal Reserve.
Do you realize that our Constitution calls for money to be ONLY gold or
silver? Not vapor-backed paper? And the primary reason the Federal Reserve
exists is to steal peoples savings by debasing non-backed paper currency? By
your own rules Wilson is out, as is FDR and every President since Nixon.
(FDR devalued the currency, Nixon closed the gold window totally, and every
President since has used inflation and devaluation to spend more than we
have.)

Do you know why we got off the gold standard?

Do you know why we got off the gold standard?
So they could continue inflating the currency without having the
inconvenience of promising anything to back it up. And to give the US the
catbird seat after Bretton Woods, allowing it to abuse its reserve currency
position.

Reagan
