Gen. Giap: Kerry's Group Helped Hanoi Defeat U.S.
The North Vietnamese general in charge of the military campaign that
finally drove the U.S. out of South Vietnam in 1975 credited a group
led by Democratic presidential front-runner John Kerry with helping
him achieve victory.
In his 1985 memoir about the war, Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap wrote that if it
weren't for organizations like Kerry's Vietnam Veterans Against the
War, Hanoi would have surrendered to the U.S. - according to Fox News
Channel war historian Oliver North.
That's why, he predicted on Tuesday, the Vietnam War issue "is going
to blow up in Kerry's face."
"People are going to remember Gen. Giap saying if it weren't for these
guys [Kerry's group], we would have lost," North told radio host Sean
Hannity.
"The Vietnam Veterans Against the War encouraged people to desert,
encouraged people to mutiny - some used what they wrote to justify
fragging officers," noted the former Marine lieutenant colonel, who
earned two purple hearts in Vietnam.
"John Kerry has blood of American soldiers on his hands," North said.

By who. The rabid right wing wackos are really getting to be too much. Most
of them never worn a uniform but they are now calling others war criminals.
Last elected the same rabid right wing wackos destroyed Max Cleland. Max
Cleland left both legs and an arm on a battlefield in Vietnam. The rabid right
wing wackos called cripple Max soft on defense. What was the problem with Max.
Max Cleland was opposed to the rush to war. We now have 533 dead Americans
because we listened to the rabid right wing wackos. We will have hundreds of
billions of dollars wasted in Iraq. Today Alan Greenspan stated that we just
do not do a good job in education for our kids. Just how much good could
several hundred billions dollars do to improve our schools.

Funny I searched and cannot find any 1985 publication by Giap. But
here is what he had to say in an interview. Nothing about Veterans
Against the war. North has been known to lie and try and cover up the
facts.

Also I am sure you know that in a law suit against Fox about telling
the truth the Judge said Fox is not legally required to tell the
truth. The Mass Media operators have the right to lie all they want
and are mostly owned by Corporations.

The cong were eliminated. It was the North Vietnamese regular army that the US
just lost its interest to continue the conflict.
