Congress passed the REAL ID Act on May 10th, putting
in place virtually all of the tools the bureaucrats
will need to create a national identification system.
Today is the one-month anniversary of this epic and
historic transgression against the rights of the
American people.
On or around this date each month we are going to HOLD
A GRUDGE against Congress for their exploitive
disregard for the rights and wishes of the people they
are supposed to serve.
Americans have always been unique among nations in not
being forced to carry the "brand of the state" in
order to live their lives and conduct their business.
And Americans have always opposed having such a system
imposed on them, no matter the claimed need for it.
But now Congress has put its brand on you, like a cow
in their herd. It remains to be seen if the American
people will tolerate it, but I have been pleasantly
surprised to see several emails suggesting we do
something like this "Grudge campaign," and to have two
talk-show hosts ask me (immediately after the bill
passed), "Is there anything we can do to repeal this?"

This law passed because not enough Americans
complained, early enough in the process. Now things
are different. People are waking up. They’re being
shocked out of their stupor. They couldn’t believe
this would actually pass. And now they’re opposing
this transgression. You see, it may not be too late -
if we act, and _continue_ to act until Congress just
can’t stand hearing about it anymore.
Hold a grudge today. Tell Congress to act immediately
