I know where Great britain is, but I don't own a passport. I don't have
the time or the money to be travelling outside the US as he does, plus
I'm a bit afraid to leave the US now with all that's going on, I feel as
though most of the world hates us now.

It's sad but true.

We are too hard on ourselves. We (Americans) live in an isolated
country(geographically), first off. Second, Europeans are NOT as
worldly as you would think. I was an exchange student in France in a
town of 200 located THREE hours from Paris and my host family and also
nearly everyone in town had NOT VISITED PARIS! Most had not left
Haute-Marne (province)! In fact, one person I knew lives only a few
miles from Germany and would not visit due to the war (same goes for
Italy).

Anyway, keep in mind that in European countries a passport is
official ID, versus here it is our driver's license. In France, you
hardly ever get a new driver's license, most of the people I knew got
one license at 18 and it lasted until they died.
